.... A NEW CHALLENGER APPEARS!!

I won't play with you, I'll never play with you, the only person I'll ever play with is myself.

Actor.

I will be quite happy to kick you in the face repeatedly as soon as I send my broken fightstick in for repair, good sir.

And get a hexagonal gate for it, because the square one was driving me crazy.

(My gamertag's in the thread I made specifically for things like this, assuming you're on the 360)

It's odd, it seems like 2-D fighting games are undergoing a bit of a renaissance, what with King of Fighters XII, BlazBlue, and SF IV (which is really a 2-D fighter with 3-D graphics). Between this and a lot of recent downloadable games, I wonder if we're in something like the equivalent of a post-classical period from other art forms, when you start to see a lot of refined throwbacks to earlier styles. If so, I demand 2-D platformers be next, and will kidnap as many family members of developers as necessary to make it happen. Who's with me?

Does neat indie platformers count? I mean we could still kidnap people if you really want to.

How many battle points do you have? while its not always an accurate measuring tool, it is usually a fair indicator of skill

also what stick are you using? Hori ex/pro?

Hori Ex2. Although one of the buttons crapped out on me and I couldn't find the receipt, so I just got another. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time.

None, since I ended up not picking it up after fixing up my stick. After watching a few more gameplay videos I remembered that I don't actually like Street Fighter that much (with the exception of 3rd Strike). And what with Soul Calibur 4, VF5, and the KOF XII and possibly BlazBlue I'll be getting, I already have enough fighters to suck at online.

But hey, I'm still in the top 30 players nationwide in Bleach DS 2nd!

!!

Yeah... Curse you, portable convenience.

I was thinking more neo-SNES than neo-Atari 2600, but nonetheless, that game's pretty great. I was overjoyed when I finally got to a level with an infinitely-wrapping flat floor so I could test the limits of the speed acceleration. (I'm... not sure it actually has any. I must have kept accelerating for a good 5 minutes at one point and was still getting changing strobe effects from the objects I was passing. I'm pretty amazed the game didn't crash)
