Palestinians reported that a teenager and an 11- year-old were killed and 10 wounded when soldiers opened fire at a group of Palestinians in Rafah on Wednesday afternoon.

The army said shots were fired at soldiers and armored vehicles as sappers dismantled a 100 kilogram (thats ~220 lbs -Kills Commies)bomb planted by Palestinians to be activated against security forces on the outskirts of Rafah.

At the same time shots were also fired at the nearby Termit IDF post and soldiers returned fire.

Wednesday night in the Gaza Strip a mortar shell was fired at the Erez industrial zone. No one was wounded in the attack. Earlier in the day two mortar shells were fired harmlessly at an Israeli community in the Gaza Strip.

For the first time in weeks the army lifted the curfew on Nablus during the day to allow locals to stock up on food.

Due to the constant terrorist activity in the city, the army refused to lift the curfew on the entire city, and on Monday and Tuesday this week lifted the curfew in certain sections of the city for a few hours. Ramallah, Jenin, Hebron and Tulkarm remained curfew free.

Security forces meanwhile continued its crackdown on terrorists and arrested 12 Palestinian fugitives in a number of West Bank areas, including the Balata refugee camp, Tubas, near Tulkarm, and in Hebron and Beituniya.

The violence on the ground continued in the West Bank. Wednesday night shots were fired at Border Police and soldiers in Tulkarm. Earlier in the day a bomb was detonated near security forces in Jenin. Sappers were also called to dismantle an explosive device found near Beit Hagai.

In Salfit in the West Bank security forces demolished the homes of two Hamas terrorists early Wednesday morning responsible for the murder of the Walensky couple and the wounding of their two children as they drove near Lubban Sharkiya on August 5.

Security forces destroyed the home of Bilal Khaider Abdel Fatah and his assistant, Ahmed Hassan Ahmed Marie.
