As I told a friend of mine today.

On May 15th(in the US at least, most likely a few days later in Aust) the movie Matrix Reloaded is released.
$7.

On May 15th(in the US at least, most likely a few weeks later in Aust) the Game Enter the Matrix will be released.
$90.

In May, Matrix shirts will become available on the Market, so every sci-fi loving fanboy of the show can wear it to his next LAN party.
$20.

In July sometime the Animatrix will be released on DVD.
$35.

In November the Matrix Revolution will be released.
$7.

Then next year sometime they will release all three Movies and the Animatrix in a Special Collectors edition set.
$Just take my fucking kidneys.

To conclude.

I am the Wachowski brothers bitch and I bow my head humbly to my new overlords.

Actor.

Watched the movie last night (I meant the Animatrix one). Whoo . . . that rocked. I skipped out of IRC to go watch it, for those of you who wondered why I sat around in the chat and said nothing.

I love having super-high bandwidth . . .

"The Second Renaissance, Part One." Can't WAIT to see part two . . .

Friend of mine just had me watch it a few minutes ago. It was definately up there with the animation and the storyline.

Even though it's only a short, the fact that it explains as much as it does (I won't blow it for those of you that haven't seen it yet) was so good.

But I wonder if the Wachowski brothers have backed AniMatrix...any idea ladies and gentlemen?

Also the Wachowski brothers wrote this one from memory, but it was directed by I think the guy who did Wings of Honamesi.
But this information is from Slashdot, so its reliability is questionable.

I think the info on the homepage said that four of the nine were written by them.

Well I'm haven't seen the episode yet due to a disagreement between me and makers of Quicktime. I feel I should be able to watch the pictures that move. They disagree.

On a side note, I believe the first episode was done the same studio responsible for Blue Submarine No. 6(whether or not it's the same one that did Wings of Honneamis as well, I'm not sure). The second episode is by the studio that did Final Fantasy: Spirits Within.

The movies are done with the Wachowski bros. full backing. Otherwise, they wouldn't be hosted on the Matrix server ^^

(I want the next part already . . . I just read through all the comics and AniMatrix previews . . . and watched the trailer . . . Dammit! I want more, now!)

Wow, I thought they would have been taken out and shot by angry financial backers.

Anyway, the first episode was far too good to be free. More! Mooore!

DVD-Roms are a bastard mix of both software and hardware region locking from memory,if you are lucky you can buy them region free(something I didn't do), sadly I have no idea about making them and the few people I know who could help all saved themselves the trouble and got Region free players.

Great stuff when you don't have a tv.

EDIT: I may be wrong about that then, I always thought that it was several levels of arse raping piled atop one another that constituted region locking for DVD-Roms, Hardware based(which can be changed only a few times), software based(a confirmation of your region based on Windows assumption of where you live[I used to live in Vatican City]) and another software in your player(windvd/powerdvd) however, I have been spectaculaly wrong before(at least thats what the people at Slashdot said when I told them, with authority that Linux was inferiour to the Half-Life operating system, they didn't get the joke.

Dvd region locking is one of two things:

Either a- the software you are using is what's doing the region protection. if that's the case then it's really easy to fix. just download a program which breaks the protection like 'DVD genie'. you tinker with the options and then you've got regionless

or b- the region protection is Built into the dvd Chip itself, which makes the it tougher to crack. for this problem even if You have the region free software it's useless as the protection is built in. what you have to do is look at your DVD rom in the control pannel, write down EXACTLY what type it is (example: LG dvd-rom DRD8120b) and then look for a driver crack which is suitable for you dvd player. i cracked my DVD rom this way by first getting the crack (which is really just a driver), unstalling my DVD-Rom and then reinstalling it.

gimmie a few minutes to find some websites
