Can I be into your soup, too?

Will it make the soup lavish attention on me?

Inflict them upon others of my choosing as well as me, and it's a done deal.

Ahh, a clever one! You wish to attempt to out-think me? Very well. 8)

::mist swirls, and when it clears Yevaud333 and Eldrahan are sitting on opposite sides of a table with a touch-screen set into it and several links displayed::

Yevaud333: Now, a clever man would advertise as safe the links which were not, because he would know that only a great fool would click on that which was linked to or advertised. (And I'm getting to your question; be patient.) You're not a great fool, so you can clearly not choose the links which I claimed to be safe. But I must have known you were not a great fool; I would have counted on it, so you can clearly not choose the links which I did not claim to be safe.

Eldrahan: I can make my decision then?

Yevaud333: Not remotely. Because bad links come from Australia, as everyone knows. (Sorry, actor et al.; just following the script.) And Australia is entirely peopled with criminals. And criminals are used to having people not trust them, as I am not trusted by you. So you can clearly not choose the links which I claimed were safe.

Eldrahan: Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.

Yevaud333: Wait till I get going! Where was I?

Eldrahan: Australia.

Yevaud333: Yes, exactly! And you've answered your own question, now, haven't you? So don't you feel silly?

:P ;-) Welcome to the 'boards, Eldrahan; hope you enjoy your stay!

How do you know I am not a great fool? After all, I let H-Kat into my soup. I also seem to complament people when they reiterate the same point twice, obviously being too foolish to complament the first time, so they'll shut up.

Hmmm, good point. How do I know you're not a great fool? (Or even a not-so-great, mediocre one?) Hmmmm....

Well, let's see, what do I know about you so far?

1. You post on the Kyhm forums.

2. You have a cool fantasy avatar.

3. You have a sense of humor.

4. You post in the quote... ...unquote game.

5. You have a predilection for posting responses to most responses to your post.

6. You're from New Zealand.

I can't accuse you of foolishness or idiocy based on the first four without placing myself under the same label, which would be awkward. The fifth tendency isn't so much foolish as it is enthusiastic. And that last one would nornally be a neutral factor, but thanks to Peter Jackson, it actually counts in your favor.

So yeah, I stand by my earlier assertion: you're not a great fool. So there. :P 8)

EDIT [after first reply below]: Um, oops? :-? Once again, I know nothing about WH40K. But isn't anything wearing armor and launching blasts of mystical energy at least a little bit fantasy? Even if [heavily]Sci-Fi/[and only minorly]Fantasy?

EDIT [after third reply below]: Vindicated! ::makes V-for-Victory (or is it just bunny ears?) sign:: :D Okay, that's it, kids, it's now officially past my bedtime. G'night! Zzzz....

No it isn't, it's a warlock! Ha!

*basks in feeling of superiority induced by being complamented repeatedly*

Speaking of which, I take it that the 40k threads on the roleplaying boards are all dead?

Which is a sci-fi fanatsy universe. So it is fantasy (in a way). Although technically teh style of art is usually classed as cyber-punk, with teh Eldar it is more fantasy and with teh Tau it is more manga (as in teh mecha-style).

Unfortuately, I did not read a message that I got telling me to post here first so I posted elsewhere and made a few big mistakes. I am guilty of the crimes of being an ignorant n00b and resign myself to your judgement. Hopefully this won't hurt too much.

Meh... I was mostly joking with the "Master of the Obvious" bit. Actually, you seem fairly intelligent. Your grammar is good. Your posts seem to be meaningful and well-thought-out. Also, you have no problem with being initiated, because you understand it's all in fun.

I'm going to DNI you.

*Icy closes his eyes and mutters something in a strange language, holding his hand out toward Wolf. All of a sudden, the area around Wolf begins to glow green. The letters "DNI", shining red, appear on his chest, burning their way through his shirt.*

There ya go. Just put "DNI'd by IcyMonkey" in your signature. Oh, and don't make me regret I gave you this.

I'd say one of your more redeeming features is your willingness to own up to your mistakes.

Keep posting. Maybe it'll help to motivate me to write that forum guide sometime.

My name is Sarah, and after haunting the #en chatroom for quite some time, I've finally joined the boards. ^^ I hope to finish reading most of the topics and roleplays now that I have a lot of free time to fill. And then maybe you would let me join in the fun...
