t.A.t.U. is a russian band composed primarily of two semi-teenage girls. Their act consists mainly of getting up, singing, and then french kissing on stage, at which point everyone cheers. Now I'm no fancy big city psychologist (everyone gasps), but it seems to me that t.A.t.U.'s russo-poetic influence and true love is being undermined by their horny fanboys desire to see them strip down and rub baby oil all over each other. It's bad enough that they are making a spectacle of their sexuality, but what's even worse is the american media's willingness to glorifiy the homosexual experience as merely a vehicle for heterosexual arousal.

In short, shame on them for making a public circus of their sexuality, but DOUBLE shame on you for glorifiying and objectifiying them.

Not at all. Someone has to manufacture those Trojans, after all. Hopefully, it won't come to the point where I'll have to buy my sex (which is how I'm intepreting your 'capitalism' here), but I draw the line at exploiting women sexually, as with most other people.

Personally, if I were that sexy and beautiful, and I could make people buy my sexuality, I can't think of a better ego inflater than that. So, good cheer to those blessed with good genes that do: They're making good money, there's an economy for that sort of thing, and it's business all around.

Oh, no... I think intercourse is still quite safe from corporate monopolization and commercialization. Love still exists. I would still rather have love than sex, and you can never buy true love in whatever distillation and form.

Yes, but that's different. The buyer doesn't really care about the product or the advertiser, but nothing is lost because of that. With sexuality in advertising, the buyer loses respect for the object of sexuality, thus driving him one step further to becoming a chauvanistic sadistic rapist.

well, hmm you ppl seem to be forgetting that our whole society and in fact every society ever's building block's are based on 2 things, impressing the opposite sex (or the same in some cases), and "we gota have a bigger stick than the other group of cave monkeys just incase they want to come and hit us" (or "we got to go and hit the other cave monkeys before they get a bigger stick than us and therefore become a threat." in some cases)

The oldest profession isn't prostitute. It's priest, or shaman, or "witch doctor" or whatever title you think is most fitting.

[EDIT: an extra thought, the comparrison with CK may not be exactly the same; it plays on hetrosexual feelings whereas the TaTu or whatever plays on homosexual, but if you make a distinction you mke it so that gay couples get special treatment. Once again, this is hypochracy. And wouldnt this have been more appropriate in the Dabate Club?]
