Has anyone ever noticed that, when sites review processors, they always have a slight to huge lean towards one brand? This one site I was reading showed that AMD had a "slight lead" in one benchmark. Yet when an Intel processor had the same margin, they "clearly beat" AMD. I think it's absurd and that they should have their testicles chopped off with a rusty holepunch.

Yes. A holepunch.

Fuck them and fuck AOHell along with Amarillo Online. They're all in the same bunch. However they can get the most money, go for it. Bastards.

More of a topic for geeks, but biased processor reviews blow.

Though it really depends on the benchmark they're using. If it's really neck and neck among the different processors and one wins out with a relatively large margin then it's a clear win.

In other news, why on earth doesn't the Athlon 64 support hyperthreading??? It supports everything else under the sun, except for the thing that it has the patent to.

Well, unless they are running propigation of error calculations on the benchmarks, I'd expect there to be a slight error margin, although your right that it always falls towards the proc of there favor. If anything this should tell everyone that the market is pretty level right now, no need to get rusty hole punchers out... although... *gets this wonderful idea for this guy that sits behind her in optics lab*

Indeed. Most of the time, the "clear winner" in a particular test is well within what I would consider the error ratio to be, 1%. If something scores 20,000 on 3dMark2001 and another scores a 19,920, I don't think that's a clear winner in any case.
Too many times have I seen this.
When the processor that's not liked scores 80 points out of TWENTY FUCKING THOUSAND over the other, it's THEN considered within the error margin.

And I do hate AOL very much, by the way.
