Positively amazing scrolling shoot-em-up with ships and colours, it's on the dreamcast and GC. If you have either, see if you can rent it or just buy it and take it back as an unwanted present. It's such a quaility game, and shows that if they just made old school games in a new 3D way rather than completly making them 3D, they'd be so sweet.

Oh, and it's amazing to play stoned.

Indeed. The first time I played it involved Radiohead's "Kid A" and a four foot bong. I swear it was the best gaming experience I've ever had...

I've played it, and I'll be damned if it isn't great. However, I'm still more of a fan of Dodonpachi than it.

Oh, and did I mention that Ikaruga reminded me of this game called Silhouette Mirage? Good game, too... Working Designs is good for that, though.

if games don't contain stats detailing armour plate to the exact millimeter and degree of slope combined with a complex ai-psych modeling system then really they're far from even 2nd best

i mean really, i can see how drug dealers manage to make so much cash when i hang around these forums

now, go and play the Combat Mission series (CM3 in the shops now) before i call the feds in to bust your asses
