It's dead centre of my screen, surrounded by black. No Icons, no taskbar, nothing. It tells me what I should be doing instead of sitting around wasting my time.

It's artistic and instructive.

It's also broken. Here's one of my other auto-background-thingies. It's yummeh.

Very yummeh.

How I normally use it (classic start menu):

With the Windows XP simplified menu:

Yeah, I love fractals: I did have a much superior fractal background, a Luis Ryo tatoo one and a Jessica Alba oke that I randomly interchanged but after the now infamous format this is the best I have come up with -_-

Clicky

Its a low quality image to reduce the file size. I have no need of your puny desktop icons. I run my whole system from the taskbar!

Firstly: Grey, you have good taste in games. I personally keep all my Games shortcuts in a folder called Shortcuts(except KoTOR, because I can).

Secondly, a generally good taste in wallpapers here, good to see.

Oddly enough, I'm not using my anime girls/melee weapon kills wallpaper anymore. Dunno why. Instead, one with Tessa, my AK, and Hilde, my CETME on a black background, and text above them saying "These are my rifles. They are my best friends. They are my life." I still don't have a digitized picture of Meia, my M1 Garand, once I get that, I'm adding it.

And I'm still stuck using public computers because of some incompetency on the part of my company's officers, so I can't really show it.

My "classy" wallpaper, since the girly pictures aren't always appreciated at work, coffee shops, etc.

And, yes, this is Windows. Using the ugly default desktop makes the baby Jesus cry.

Your 768 pixels in height is small, Kuh. You need some new monitors.

Actually his resolution covers slightly more pixel area than 1600x1200. I wouldn't recommend going any higher on just one video card than that simply for performance reasons. So his height does make sense if you run the figures.

P.s. Your are 1337 Superkuh.

I do have a couple more monitors (19" flat crt .20 shadowmask, 15"
generic, and 17" Dell Trinitron) sitting around here and the pci slots
and extra graphics cards (3 x Geforce2 MX 32MB) to run them. I would
hook them up if I had the space. Perhaps tommorow I will build a shelf
to loft them above the other 3.

I love desktop threads.

Using 1152x864.
The SS is at 75% of actual size cuz i'm using Brinkster and that 25% reduction cut file size by 1/2.

Not much to see, really. That's just the current background i'm using.
What i have open is Webshots Desktop! Pretty useful program as all i use it for is archiving backgrounds and changing backgrounds.
Change it every week or two. Generally use a anime related background.
Anyone know any good anime background sites?

Well, with multiple requests for my background source, I'll spill. Half of 'em are from kde-look.org, and the other half from 4chan.net. Since 4-Chan threads seem to get spun rather hastily, I have uploaded all of my backgrounds in a spiffy place, with full thumbnails:

http://alice.marginsoftware.com/backgrounds/

And nobody bitch about my site not working. Oh, and I created the sphere pic myself - PovRay is my friend.
