New Doctor Who(If Firefly gets a thread then this deserves one as well).

Steven Moffats day:

Wakes up at six am, writes down four ideas of Awesome!

Goes out to the shed, builds four brand new original battlebots in under and hour and puts the papers with the four ideas in each one.

He then takes them to the local kindergarten and has them fight it out for two hours against each other whilst police and armed soldiers work to prevent the children from escaping the "creative zone" and their parents from getting them out.

Once the blood has been cleared away he finds the winning 'bot and reads the idea, if he still thinks its awesome then he writes the script, sends it to the BBC and then returns home with some lamb for dinner.
The reason he doesn't write 365 scripts per year is because the bastard children often get their blood all over the paper and he can't tell who won.

Once a month he takes a dump, throws it at some paper and lets Russell T Davis copy from it.

Seconded. Interesting variant of the old story thus far (two episodes in, ep 3 goes out tomorrow night). And it would appear that James Nesbitt is, contrary to my previous opinion, capable of playing characters other then James Nesbitt.

I'm not sure how they are going to stretch it over 6 episodes and keep the level up, but Mr Moffat has done some sterling work recently so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, and wait with baited breath for the revelations that follow.

No more John Simms, they reference that Jack is the Face of Boe which is the WORST REFERENCE EVER (I hope it's just a throw-away and they'll never touch it again because ugh), and no more Martha? At least the intro of Simms singing along to The Scissor Sisters was JAWESOME.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Killing off the Master? Fucking horrible. Actually, most of the episode was fucking horrible. Russell Davies should be b& from writing forever. And punched in the face twice a week as punishment.

I guess that the Master is still not dead tho. He'll probably come back in a similar fashion as the seventh doctor regenerated into the eighth. God, I hope so. Otherwise I'm gonna stab Russell Davies in the face. Aargh, killing off the Master, wtf?

Doctor with amazing powers of levitation and telekenisis brought on by everyone thinking warm fuzzy thoughts about him was terrible. Jack being the Face of Boe was terrible. 90% of the episode was fucking terrible.

The toclafane being future humans was tolerable tho. Made kinda sense.

Hooray for black rose being gone, best part of the episode.[/spoiler]

They need, just once, to think of a non-deus-ex-machina method for beating impossible odds.
Although this one was slightly better than previous ones.
[spoiler]Would have been a little better if at some point in the last season the Doctor mentioned that time lords could be healed with massive amounts of channelled telepathic energy, like say when the face of Boe died in Gridlock(in fact that would have been the best time possible for it because it would bring the season full circle and would have made Boe dying and the Doctor Living connected on another level if Boe is Jack(which he probably is given Jack's immortality, although I may be wrong given that Jack mentions the Face of Boe a couple of times apparently and never made the connection(he could be just playing a nasty joke on the Doctor for leaving him behind all those years) besides Jack lost two years of his memories(which no-one cares about anymore sadly) and that might have been a meeting with Boe in which he was left with instructions to help the Doctor, instructions that were hidden from him later on)).
And no more Simm as the Master is sad, even though I didn't like the jokes I did like the madness. He was great.

Martha will probably be back, they just needed her out of the way so they could do a ridiculous Christmas story.

And lastly: Whomever it is that hires the random actresses in the minor female roles in Doctor Who deserves to be knighted, they are to a girl stunning. Master's Wife, Madame De Pompadour, Sally Sparrow, that Cat guys human wife, Sally Sparrow, Toshiko Sato(who's in Torchwood now) and Sally Sparrow. You're all in my mind when I make hand children with my hand, because I masturbate a lot, because I'm alone in this world and no girl will let me touch her without paying first.[/spoiler]

In unrelated news I want to write for Torchwood. I think that I would be good working on a show where I can get girls too kiss each other all the time.

[spoiler]Well I think its fairly refreshing to see that someone out there hasn't forgotten that the Doctor isn't actually a timelord and is infact one of their 3 gods, cos its about the only way he could do most of what he did in that episode.

And as for Jack being the face of boa, words can not begin to describe how bad an idea that is.[/spoiler]

A female hand took that ring from the funeral pyre at the end. His wife? She seemed a bit bored by the Master's attentions in this episode, but I never got the impression she hated him....perhaps shooting him was some kind of backup plan he'd arranged with her as a failsafe, with the ring doing something timey-whimey?

At what point do we stop using Spoiler tags? I'm thinking its okay now(nearly 48 hours since the episode aired) but is there some kind of officially recognised point were you don't have to hide it anymore?

And I think the hand at the end was either The Wife or "Sinister Woman" who kept harassing Martha's family in earlier episodes.

And the episode still could have been better.

The annoying thing is that although this is incorrect, the credits of the original series frequently do credit the Doctor as "Doctor Who", so you can't really complain.
