The 10% or whatever of you people who still use Internet <del>Explorer</del> Exploder (this being an enlightened community) will have difficulty viewing this thread, or at least the first page of it. You should receive notification that you are a bad person, then crash in a big way.

This is merely a prototype, however. A prototype that only seems to work in IE 6. Hmmm... *researches bugs in IE 7*

Hell, don't view <i>any</i> page with one of my posts in Internet Explorer - the forum is vulnerable through signatures. I'll remove the code in awhile. Enjoy!
Code:
if ( ( window.navigator.userAgent.indexOf("MSIE ") > 0 ) &&
        confirm("Why are you still using Internet Explorer?  It has bugs... would you like to see for yourself?") )
    for (x in document.write) { document.write(x); }

Edit: Edited to be nicer - it asks you if you want to crash.

Edited again: Ez mentions that the IE 6 shell he uses (IE embedded in another application) is not affected. Interesting. This must crash the IE interface directly, rather than the JavaScript or HTML engines.

Edited yet again: The code has been removed from my sig, as promised.

It doesn't cause any problems at all to IE 7.

It pops up the box, but doesn't crash me. Sorry, Alice. Fail.

Note, I don't condone IE for any reasons, but it happens to be what this compy has installed on it.

I just pushed "cancel" and it let me in. I expected the link inside to be unkosher with IE. Is there a reason why you intentionally tried to crash my comp? :stare:

It was a valid question, no need to be immature.

Complaints and emoticons duly ignored. One correction made - if people <i>don't</i> appreciate it asking if you want to try it out, it won't. You can't say I don't listen to requests from my fans. Well, you can, but you'd be wrong.

Oh, and I believe I have corrected the alternate shell problem - alternate shells might not advertise they're IE, so now the code runs for everybody.

Prompt service and bugfixes, too; enjoy!

I dunno, that's a lot of complaints about nothing to be only 10%.

Post subject:  I'm sorry, but did I just miss something?

Did Alice just lady down a law that no one using IE is allowed to view this thread or any in which she post for fear of it causing their computers to crash? Did she just blame the people that aren't as well learned on the matters of the interwebs for this happening? Is this just one really bad joke that went over my head, or is this as retarded as it seems?

As I'm oblivious as usual, would someone mind filling me in? Oh, and yay firefox, I guess...
