We haven't had a post on this board in five days. Is Debate Club dead, or will it live on?

(Bonus points for the first person to totally derail this thread and get us off on some tangent about free will, quantum physics and/or Godel's incompleteness theorem. (Come on, WI, we're counting on you!))

As for the debate club....I would be sad to see it go, but we could (and do) just have these debates in other forums.

I say keep it. I need a place to post controversial stuff, so that people won't bitch at me for posting it in Unrelated.

Debate club should stay, as, even if inactive for long periods of time, is the only true safe haven to have an argument civally without thrusting it upon everyone.

Hm, keep it around, I like being able to come in here and post my 2 cents now and again. Plus, some of the debates here get pretty interesting ^_^ Even if it DOES sound like a public broadcast of British Parliment.

I think Debate Club should be changed to the original Fight Club.

We will organize dates, times and locations to meet and summarily beat the shit out of each other in order to reach enlightenment.

At the moment I consider myself to have won that debate by virtue of having had that last word, which was apparently so impressive, even coming from me in a completely sleep-deprived state, that none have thought up anything to add to it or counter it with.

Certainly not. Even if there haven't been all that many posts as of late, it's still nice to know it's around. I've got a thread to post myself, as a matter of fact (and it's quasi-political. *ooooh*).

Personally, I think this was just Icy's evil way to get more people to post. He threatens to have Kyhm remove the forum, and we're all like "No, you can't take my preciousss!" and start posting again.
