I don't even know for sure if it is a desperation thing. I think its more rewarding to some that they actually pay for it. Its kindof the opposite of people getting off for stealing.

Clay, a lot of people would disagree with you re: the meaning thing. I wouldnt, but a hell of a lot of people get more then that from cyber.

And its not desperation that makes you pay for internet porn, its stupidity. Or morality about stealing and shit, I suppose, but mainly anyone too dumb to download K++.

I guess I'm sort of taking the opposite view of Cenwood while still approving of cyber-sex: I don't think it hurts anyone, and more importantly I don't think it really matters if the person on the other end is a some single guy in his late forties as long as he can write convincing porn, but I have a great deal of difficulty seeing anyone getting real, emotional meaning out of it. Sexual release, sure. I trust porn and my imagination more, and I'm with Clay_Allison in that the idea of typing and wanking seems ridiculously difficult to me, but I can see how people could get off on it. But it's like getting off on porn. It is not something you do to form an emotional attachment, it is something you do because you need some sexual gratification. I don't fall in love with porn stars; no one should fall in love with their cybering partner, or view it as an act of love.
