see, we need more *proof* here, not what ppl just think

ie study the real life ninja and pirate fights (see my last post) and then we can decide who'd win. for instance has a specific persion had fights with both pirates and ninja in different films? which fight did they won the easiest

unless we have some direct pirate vs ninja fights documented then we have to go for a control subject who has fought both ninja and pirate enemies

since i proved the concept that 'only a ninja can defeat a ninja' somewhat shaky, theyr'e suddenly not looking all that hardcore

befor eanyone claims Pirates Of The Carribean as a source, they wer e(for the most part) ghost pirates, a whole different kettle of fish, also Orlando Bloom was technically a pirate, thus any wins he had were pirate on pirate affairs...

so, any other examples ppl can quote? hard facts neede here to bring this to a conclusion.

Pirates have had conditional blessing of various governments over the centuries.
Ninjas have been disavowed by the japanese several times.
Pirates have over the ages become corporate, while ninjas have more or less become integrated into yakuza operations, and have become an art to almost religious study.
Pirates have basically evolved, with a few drawbacks that still actually raid ships at sea. T
he Ninja are still considered a class of criminal society.
Pirates win as they have integrated into todays society well enough to operate outside of public sight, and still get to rip off poeple, staying true to their origins.

Large damp caucasion menmadadric may rant and rave about how awesome ninja's are, but nothing, NOTHING compares to vikings.

If we were comparing pirates and ninja's to weapons, pirates would be an AK-47, Ninja's would be SMLE Lee-Enfields and Vikings would be a bloody tactical nuke.

Only 4 things stop vikings.

1) God (But with great effort)
2) Vikings themselves sinking the ship in acidental berserker mode
3) An entire laser-rifle battalion (With very heavy losses)
4) No more grog.

As Laser rifles were a down-right rare commodity back in the day, Vikings were only stopped by Her Majesty's Royal Laser Rifle Marine Corps 4 times. Far more common was boats sinking, the grog running dry, and someone not wearing pants (In the wrong way, non-wearing of pants in the right way is entirely acceptable) while praying to Odin.

The best Viking in the universe is Hagar the horrible.

I always considered Vikings to be riced out pirates, which is why I speak of berserkers themselves. Not just anyone can be a berserker, it takes a great deal of sheer strenth, stupidity, and meanness to pull it off. It's a battle of

Pirates:cunning
Ninja:stealth
Berserker:strenth and stamina

Oh and Grey: Eric the Red could totally kick Hagar's ass, but Hagar (the horrible) would trounce Hagar (the mayor of Final Fight city) any day.

I've always considered Vikings a specialized subspecies of pirate, in a similar way that Teenage Mutant Turtles are a specialized subspecies of ninja. I personally prefer normal pirates, though, because the horns just look stupid, to be honest. And Vikings don't have muskets.

Samurai, on the other hand, are distant cousins of the ninja, sharing a common ancestor at some long-ago point in the evolutionary past.

Barbarians are close cousins of pirates, but whereas pirates have adapted to a marine environment, barbarians fill a similar ecological niche on land.

Probably the closest natural equivalent to a ninja-pirate would be a Mongolian, as they are cousins of both samurai and barbarians. It is universally acknowledged that Mongolians kick ass, as the Chinese had to build a big-ass wall just to keep them from flipping out and killing people in China. However, Mongolians are nowhere near as cool as pirates, though cooler than ninjas.

The pirate you're showing us is Seinfeld, whereas the ninja you're showing us is a hot chick. hot chicks>Seinfeld, to such a degree that even making Seinfeld a pirate and the hot chick a ninja wouldn't balance things out. If it were a hot chick pirate vs. a Seinfeld-ninja, on the other hand, I think we all know who'd win.
