As most of you know, I don't hang out on the EN or ES boards much at all, so I really don't know what the whole Cult of Perversions or whatever it is is all about (anyone who can enlighten me is welcome to), but I'm a bit worried about the banners everyone has recently started attaching to their posts. Now, frequently I post from home, but just as frequently I'm on a school computer in the library or something, and, no matter how liberal my school is, they aren't cool with sperm-splattered breasts coming up in the library. Now, I know I'm not the only one who posts from computers that other people might see, generally at school or at work, so I gotta ask--could we dispense with the really raunchy ones? A GPS or a blouse being unbuttoned is one thing, but some of those banners are real job-killers if you just happen to be surfing the forums during some slow time at work or something. Like I say, I don't know what the CoP is supposed to be, but the explicit banners don't strike me as nessecary to demonstrate your, well, perversion. The panty shots get the same message across without forcing folks like me to scroll quickly past some posts.

Just to make it clear, I'm not complaining about the inappropriateness of this material on the boards. I like porn as much as the next guy, hell, probably better (not something to be proud of, I guess). But I surf for porn when I know it's safe to, and having it pop up in a message board I just check whenever I'm in front of a computer makes things tough for me and anyone else doing the same sort of thing. Anyhow, lemme know what we can do about it, or who I should be talking to, or whatever else comes to your twisted little minds on the subject. Peace out.

Also, we have a wonderful little admin named Kyhm that installed a bunch of hacks to one's profile. You can now turn off sigs, avitars, font size and colors, etc to help one when browsing in public.

Yep. I can now browse at work porn free, except for when they post images in the text of the message...

Good 'nuf for me. Security at school without sacrificing incidental porn at home, god bless the Internet!
