If you believe Mohammaed wasn't a real prophet it doesn't change the fact that Allah is a single all-powerful being.
Fixed. :/

Now the Christians believe that there are three parts to this one G-d. if Jesus is not the son of G-d the entire religion falls apart, but only that religion. It means the Christian G-d doesn't exist. However, even if Mohammed was a charaltan it doesn't mean Allah doesn't exist, Allah's existance is independant of Mohammed. that is the difference.
Actually, from what I understand, if Mohammad were a fake that would make Islam a sham religion. Mohammad was supposed to be the final prophet of god/allah, sent to correct all the mistakes of the previous prophets (the Jewish prophets plus Jesus [From what I recall Islam considers Jesus to be a prophet of god, but nothing more]) and throw in a bit of additional crap. If Mohammad was a fraud, though, that renders the entire Qur'an, which is a collection of Mohammad's sayings and teaching imparted to him by allah, as an irrelevant load of bullshit.
Furthermore the hadiths, which are basically the religious precedents of Islam, would be rendered irrelevant as well due to them always being traced back via whoever spoke them, usually through a line of major religious figures, to Mohammad himself.
Due to Islam's emphasis on the teachings of Mohammad as the directions of allah, the religion itself would be a sham, therefore noone would actually know what allah's wishes were, therefore there is no way the religion could continue.
