Elohanu is use to refer to Adonai. as in "Baruch atah Adonai Elohanu melech...", which is "Blessed are you Lord our G-d, king..."

thus it is with refrence to one being, not two seperate ones.

I remember having to memorize the Nicene Creed for my blue ribbon for RCSM (Royal Church School of Music)...

I have nothing to add to this debate that hasn't already been said.

it's ridiculously stupid to begin with.

Christians worship Jesus as incarnation of God. If Jesus ISN'T ACTUALLY the incarnation of God, they're polytheistic?

No. Polytheism and monotheism have nothing to do with the veracity of the religions' claims; they are merely categories for the claims themselves without saying anything about the claims.

The trinity? Not three gods. How it works is, according to Roman Catholicism, a "mystery," which is a nice way of saying "shut the fuck up." But does it matter? No. It doesn't. It changes *nothing*, unless you have some magical machine to determine which religion's claims are the truth.

please note that you're a fucking moron who should probably not say stupid things if he's afraid of other people responding to them.

'cept I don't mind people saying I'm wrong, others already did so. However it is now done. The Baron raised no new points. Nor did he accurately respond to some of the points already raised. Thus there was no need to continue the argument.

see, the other thing you need to learn? you don't own a topic. once you post a topic, it's everyone's. you cannot declare it dead or whatever--it's fair game for whomever.

this ain't your blog, darling.

I already started swearing. another person requested it die. you swore. no new arguments were presented. According to the official rules that means it is dead.

If you believe Mohammaed wasn't a real prophet it doesn't change the fact that Allah is a single all-powerful being.

Fixed. :/

Quote:
Now the Christians believe that there are three parts to this one G-d. if Jesus is not the son of G-d the entire religion falls apart, but only that religion. It means the Christian G-d doesn't exist. However, even if Mohammed was a charaltan it doesn't mean Allah doesn't exist, Allah's existance is independant of Mohammed. that is the difference.

Actually, from what I understand, if Mohammad were a fake that would make Islam a sham religion. Mohammad was supposed to be the final prophet of god/allah, sent to correct all the mistakes of the previous prophets (the Jewish prophets plus Jesus [From what I recall Islam considers Jesus to be a prophet of god, but nothing more]) and throw in a bit of additional crap. If Mohammad was a fraud, though, that renders the entire Qur'an, which is a collection of Mohammad's sayings and teaching imparted to him by allah, as an irrelevant load of bullshit.
Furthermore the hadiths, which are basically the religious precedents of Islam, would be rendered irrelevant as well due to them always being traced back via whoever spoke them, usually through a line of major religious figures, to Mohammad himself.

Due to Islam's emphasis on the teachings of Mohammad as the directions of allah, the religion itself would be a sham, therefore noone would actually know what allah's wishes were, therefore there is no way the religion could continue.

Yes, but thats doesn't use the same name as in Genesis, if I recall correctly.

Also, I brought this thread back, because it is actual debating going on here in spots, which is good. If the individual mods wish to do else with it, so be it.
