I was watching Girl's High, and episode 11 was the "OMG MUST BE BEAUTIFUL." They mentioned that Eriko hadn't bothered to shave her arms, and I wondered if that was normal for Japanese girls.

In America, the standard is usually legs, arm pits (and bikini area for some). I know a couple that shave their arms, but they claim mental disorders. In Europe, I hear that it's uncommon to shave at all.

Should girls shave [their arms]?

Yes/no and why. :)

Too much body hair is gross but shaving sucks.

If a person has too much body hair, I won't really care just I won't look at them much (unless its like a freakshow and I can't look away).

I find it unattractive and I think most males do as well. Do whatever you want with that information, I don't honestly care.

So is female arm hair unattractive? (keep in mind it's usually quite invisible and soft)
Is female leg hair unattractive?
Are female pubes unattractive?
Is arm pit hair unattractive?

Edit: I should answer my own questions.

1) It's never been to me
2) Not particularly, though exceptions have been made
3) If dirty, though shaving is usually more attractive
4) YESYESYES. Ew.

1) on the average girl no.
2) leg hair is gross IMHO.
3) gross if untamed.
4) I can stand a little pit stubble.

Just lots of body hair is gross. There are some particulalry hairy people and they are gross.

1. No.
2. Depends (If they've shaved before and it's got clipped ends then it usually is, but if a girl hasn't shaved her legs before and it's fairly wispy, I wouldn't really mind).
3. If I found a dollar bill lying in the street, sure I'd prefer it to be a fiver, but I'm not gonna complain about finding a dollar.
4. 'Fraid so.

DO WOMEN IN EUROPE SHAVE THEIR HAIRS ?!?!?!!?!?!? IM A FUCKING WOMAN FROM EUROPE SO NOW IM FEELING LOT OF PREASSURE HERE AS IM REPRESENTING THE WHOLE EU (wipes sweat from forehead)

no no no no shaving arms, thats just fucking weird (yes def indicates some kind of mental instability) UNLESS you as a woman has very strong black hard hairs, I know that some forinstance women from Iran who has black hair and and dark big eyebrowses usually also have tendency growing very dark prominent body hairs (even moustaches) to the extent that they totally wants to shave it to look less umm unattractive or malish-in this kind of case I will understand it then I would then shave myself too, but now that they are not (yet) too prominent I dont think I care to shave them unless the man really wants me to  (some pedantic man  :o )

BUT

anyways, if I was as rich as MADONNA I would defenately shave my entire body-NO - i would not shave it, but I will go for the laser treatment and get rid of the hairs for good, it will take about year because the lasers rays can only deal with hairs that has grown to surface and all dont grow out some are in resting position and will only come out when the follicle or whatever has died next to it, so you would have to keep on going once a month until the hair grows no more.

I would not do this because I hate hair I just love the smooth silky skin and I like to be as attractive and approachable and cuddly as possible, I want to be like so perfect that the man cant get enough of me and always wants to come back to me again to feel my soft skin etc :3nod: I dont think there is any man who would not like a silkysmoothsoft feminine skin oppose to rough and hairy ?

However I think that pussy hair is very sexual when its all curled up cutely, I think that defenately hairs are more attractive than hairless, after all hair presents maturity and reminds one of that, I dont know about any other of you but when I become sexually amture my hairs started growing and thats what it reminds me of when I see hairs-even in the armpits - so actually I think that also armpit hairs are sexy

The only case when I think body hairs are not sexy anymore if for some reason the person has to sweat all the time, then it could be better not to have tha hairs at all

Leg hairs, I have unfort inherited my dark black strong masculine leg hairs from my mother and its like totally repulsive, not only repulsive but anybody getting near them says they hurt and pinches like needles and also if I wore stocking without shaving and in the evening remove the stocking the entire skin surface aches like hell because the hairs has been all upside down to the opposite direction (its like having been hold your hair in ponytail entire day then release you get headache)

Pit hair has to be gone.

Shaving arm hair is stupid.

I don't like to look at leg hair, but in the dark all I'm worried about is stubble.

The pussy can be a bush, but it has to be clean.

XD Ditto.

I don't like it on men or women, but mostly because it's fuzzy and smells.

I don't care about it on men. I don't find men sexually attractive.

On women, it just doesn't look good. I don't like the look of fuzz under the arms. Also, if I'm going to get up close and personal with anyone, I don't want hair or the stink near me. Shaving and deodorant are required.

I know this is prob gonna sound so weird most especially when Im like really clean person but I like armpit smell, since I learned how the roll on changes the sweat smell I stopped using it and my armpits smells better than ever but the of course only downside is that they smell often and soon because of not using the roll on but well since its a natural smell (and I eat healthily I dont eat any greasy fast food shit I eat organic food etc and purify even the drinking waters...) I dont mind because its not like bitter smell but very au naturel

I dont mind man smelling too but this requaires of course that his diet is good, nothing greasy and enough vegetables and fruits othervice it just smells like -well grease that has been standing still for months- as it has btw even years not only months  but anyways it so much depends on the mans own aromas you never know how anybody's sweat smells but whatever the smell is or no matter how bitter or offensive it is you will eventually get use to it and even starts to long for it if you havent smelled it for some time  oo-hooo thats just weird !!!

Anyways I beleive that our original smells are there for a purpose and once again we have come far away in western worlds to shy away from our natural body odours  You cant really be attached to a person emotionally and othervice until you have totally be "swimming" in the ocean of his or her natural body odours and know them in and out

oh now I remember we were actually talking about hairs not smells well....

I dont think men should shave their armpits that could just be looking really funny and I totally like my men as hairy as possible (not long hair though) so i dont want anything shaved and this includes the bubic hair I think that hair is extremely cute and sexy looking but I can shave whatever wanted it feels always more comfortable with lesser hair as possible and smooth skin

Ive seen many cases where the arm hair is very thick or dark and very visible, and in those cases, I personally find it unattractive. (Mustaches on women are also a turn off, as I have seen quite a few of those around too)
Leg hair is a turn off in the same sense as the arm hair.

Female pubes are only unattractive if it grows out of control (best example that comes to mind is the woman that shows hers on that movie "Waiting"

Arm pit hair is a HUGE turn off for me.

Blue Sun Missile
thats my opinion and im sticking to it.

this reply was great

Oddly a certain amount of hair is fine on a woman but it is actually a turnoff with men. Funny how I am most attracted to dark haired girls and blond men. Hm.

Because boys are sexier when they look like girls.

So it turns out I'm not bi. I just have trouble making decisions.

I'm not allowed to shave. I've been warned. I wanted this. ZOMG viral marketing!
Oh yeah...debate club...

I don't much like body hair in general. I can live with it, but the appearance and more so the texture are very unappealing.

Pits yes, arms can be shaved depending on how well it blends in with the skin, but you really are going to need to keep up the maintenance on that or else it'll just end up looking horrid.

The pubic region should be neatly trimmed or left open for artistic interpretation on what it should look like. I prefer a bust of a famous president shaved in there.

Does armpit hair serve all that great of a purpose other than moisture sponge? I really don't think the cooling or sweat absorbing effects would be worth the aesthetic unpleasantries.

Would you use a depilatory rather than shave? The rash lasts just a couple of days for most people and then you have weeks without having to do anything.

Why even care about body hair? I mean, if you think someone is awesome, why should their physical structure be an issue?
