[Other] I have few suggestions for different collab comics.

1. Do more than one thread of this. Gives variety, plus people won't get bored while waiting for an update.

2. A comicthread based off of Mad's steampunk chanthajin roleplay (updated for 2007, I'm sure he's thought of some changes by now)

3. A comicthread where each update is done by multiple people in http://www.iscribble.net, random topic

i love all three ideas. Initially, i'm happy for all submissions to go in this thread, but as time goes on if this becomes popular, different threads would probably be wise.

If by steampunk you mean Masphyr, then i am working on a rewrite to use as a basis for some creative project in the future. I'm in the process of slightly rearranging and fleshing out the history, and i've recently redrawn the Map (linked for hugeness) so doing a comic set in this world could be a lot of fun, although also a lot of work.

I love a group drawing session in a paintchat or in opencanvas, so this is definietly a yes.

I liked Onion's Weekend, but I guess non-irc types don't really get that.

I had an idea for a RP a while back, it was interesting to say the least, but I didn't think it would work for long(my idea relied too much on a lot of people doing things in the right order which is impossible and unfair for anyone else trying to play).
As a side note: Mad is that map drawn in Auto Realm?

Actor.

masphyr rawks

god i love that map

If we do the number two idea, I'm up for drawing and character making, but not scripts. Totally not a writer.

Speaking of maps, something I've been working on for a game.

Nice spotting actor! yeah, the map is drawn in autorealm, but the file got so big the itty bitty program couldn't handle it very well, and started acting irregularly and moving my city dots out of alignment so i've had to switch over to illustrator for the next part - cities, towns, and roads for each of the major countries.

The most steampunky-technologically advanced countries are Ichtar who have all the technology and Kardesia, who buy most of it.

Currently i'm hammering out the details of the individual countries' histories and conflicts, and trying to establish the tech level of the different countries. I expect it to range from steampunk/magitech of Ichtar all the way down to bronze or iron age of viking-like Selle.

i had a travel chart somewhere here too for figuring out how long it would take to get from one placew to another for different modes of transport . . .

ah, here.

foot - 25km a day - 175km a week
steed - 80km a day - 560km week
wagon/carriage - 120km a day - 840km a week
ship - 350km a day - 2450km a week
windship - 590km a day - 4130km a week

so the world is pretty big - now to just fill it up...

Kest, what did you do that map in? i love the old faded look it has.

Who do I have to assassinate to get a recurring character role in this scheme?
