Post subject:  A dream in prose

I had this dream this last night, and it was so lyrical that I felt compelled to try and write it. It took me about 35 minutes to do so.
This is the only place where I feel comfortabale enough to share it (yes, it's that bad).
Also, criticism is welcomed. And I would've liked it more if it had some rhyming, but my English isn't good enough for that yet.

Tira Bladedancer / Adar Talmi

When her ship reached shore, the Dock Master said:
‘Careful be, less thou get astray,
The Baron be rich, His troops trained fierce
Like he not, those that won’t kneel.’

But Tira Bladedancer couldn’t be warned;
For she be a Pirate, scurvy as all,
For she be a Bladedancer first and foremost,
With blades in hands she couldn’t be warned.

At a tavern of sailors, Tira got challenged
When a strip-bearded man, sat at her table
Quickly enough, a brawl had broken
For Tira be Pirate, scurvy as all

Tira Bladedancer couldn’t be hurt,
A Bladedancer she is, and better than most
For when there is ’I’, and there is a ‘they’
Tira would dance, both blades in hands.

The strip-bearded man, swashbuckler as well,
Challenged Tira to fight with him ‘fair’,
The combat had started, and soon it had ended,
When the Baron’s troops to the tavern have barged

But Tira Bladedancer wasn’t deterred,
A Bladedancer she is, and wasn’t afraid
For when there’s an ‘I’ and there is a ‘them’
Tira would dance, both blades in hands

Alone against dozen, Tira had fought
The dock master’s warning wasn’t unheard,
But there is an ‘I', and there is a ‘they’,
And Tira fought grimly, both blades in hands.

To the fray then joined, the strip-bearded man
For a love he found, in the bladedancer’s wake
Charging from rear he evened the odds
For he be a fighter, and pirate as well.

But then alas, Tira fumbled in her dance
She was not alone, and that was the problem
When ‘They’ still were, but no longer an ‘I’
Tira couldn’t dance with both blades in hands

Victorious they emerged, and ran to their ships
Later they had married, before God and man
Tira and John Red-Strip, a pair to behold
Went looking for troubles as all pirates should

Though one thing was never the same,
What love had ruined, that can’t be repaired
Regardless of ‘They’, when she don't have an ‘I’
Tira can’t dance, with both blades in hands.
