I'm thinking of Writing a play as a way to pass the time, I've found that I'm better at writing conversations than I am at describing things, mostly because its tedious to describe every little thing forever and ever when I'm writing and because its easier to just think of conversations.

I was wondering if anyone else had any creative projects they're doing right now and wanted to share.

The play would be about a guy that goes to an outback town to kidnap a friend of his from her husband who's she says has been beating her.
He then dumps her somewhere isolated because she doesn't want to leave her husband so he makes her sit and think about it for three days and he returns to town to confront the husband and distract him from searching for her.
From there it becomes a bit of a chess game with all three players revealed to be lying about several important things and all trying to manipulate each other because deep down, everyone is a bastard.
Its not exactly R.E.N.T but I think the idea has some potential if I don't screw it up.

Also anyone know any decent websites for tips on play writing?

We could bring back the Shakespeare posts that helped push the forum split for your inspiration. Although most of the participants of that don't come around after they weren't given admin powers.

How could such dedication to the forums go unrewarded?

Hnn... must've missed that bit.

Then again, I missed the whole admin wars thing on purpose...

I'm working on a P&P role playing system, and has a couple of stories that won't get finished this decade.

I expected that of Onion, as she was already getting swamped with real life interests, and Krylex as he was doing military stuff, but I miss the old group.

Grimm but not forgotten

Yeah and it sucks. The last client I used to get into #en doesn't exist anymore (it was browser based) so I can't sit there and watch them say things (things that usually made me laugh).

I am currently designing a fps/over-the-shoulder shooter/rpg that I want to code using the quake2 engine. Unfortunately I know so little about programing anything that getting started during the school year is kind of hard.

I'm also designing characters for a story(maybe a comic) about people in an MMO. It's very .//hack-ish sounding (mostly because I miss .//hacksign, no one ever remembers Bear or Tsukasa). The story for it will focus on the player's lives outside the game (through the game... if that can make any sense) and how the people interact with each other and use the game as an outlet/escape.

Me and a friend from our college's art club are building a 14-foot scarecrow with an inner skeleton of steel pipe for All Hallow's Eve, to be displayed right in the middle of the campus courtyard. Given the usually conservative atmosphere, this should far exceed the average levels of win and awesome to be had around here.

Sounds cool.
I once made a stuffed man out of some blankets that filled some of my clothes and left him on the porch. I would then drop said man from the porch while doing a screaming sound to scare people as they enetered the garage. Fun times indeed.

I'm going to bully some friends into playing(performing/recording/both) a couple of tunes I've written. I'll just need to find a place to rehearse first or they'll just make excuses.

Maybe I'll record some things on my own for your amusement, if I find the inspiration for it. Suggestions welcome, if doable alone.

It's not really creative, but right now most of my time is going towards preparing a scholarly article based on my thesis.

It's not going so well. But I'm getting there.

Probably better than me, I have to turn in a paper tomorrow and I haven't spent any time working on it today...

I'm currently building a Superhero world for an upcoming silver age sentinals game. promises to be ood, as I need to fill in a bunch of super her/villain slots without it seeming like it at the concept of the game is that the party is the second wave of superheros to hit the streets. (People will not freak that they are wearing masks and doing vigilante work, but they won't go "ho hum more superheros"

I've got an entire series of fantasy books cached in my mind right now. I've gotten bits and pieces written, but I'm having trouble organizing my thoughts, getting past certain details of how I want the story to progress, ect. I'm slowly but surely building an outline for the story, which I decided to break into books, and I'm also writing down details for characters, places, ect as I think of them.

Also, having time to sit down and write would be fucking super.
