Name: VandalHeart, usually shortened to Vandal.
Age: 26
Appearance: Average height (5'9" or so) fit build, but not largely muscled. (think gymnast/runner that sort of thing) His hair is black, and short enough to not need a comb in the morning. Silver eyes would be the only odd thing, well except for the tattoos which the eyes are a side effect of. The run over the entirety of his upper torso and both arms, with maybe an inch space between each. each tatto is a rune of some kind (a bunch of squiggles would work for this, I aint takin time to write a runic language for this), and the color is a blue-white. normally they do not glow, unless he is channeling. Clothing would normally consist of a pair of jeans, a white wife-beater top, a brown leather bomber jacket, and pair of everyday black shades. And the ever present cigarette of course. Currently there is a leather holster on his right leg, containing a shortened shotgun, Mad Max style.
Personality: Vandal appears to be pretty aloof. He rarely shows his emotions, preferring to keep them to himself. When he does, on the other hand, they can be very intense. The result of keeping them bottled up, of course. He isn't unduly cruel, but nor is he a caregiver. He doesn't trust many people, making people prove themselves worthy of it first. Respect is the same. He is a blunt man, preferring to be straightforward and generally honest in his dealings with people. He is not above lying and killing, though prefers to solve things otherwise when possible. He hates excess, as wel las sloppiness when it comes to battle. Mass slaughter goes against his way of thinking, and pointless carnage is, in his opinion, idiocy. To those who earn his respect and trust, he is a devoted protector, though few have done this in the past. To this day, he still searches for Vanguard, wonderin whatever became of her, intent on finding her once more.
Powers: All powers come from the ranes tattoed on his body. The runes allow him to channel an unknown energy source into a myriad of different uses. Theoretically, these uses are limitless, butin practice, it is the user who defines what he is able to do, both by the limits of his physical being, and subconcious choice. Imagination, and lack thereof, also play a large role in the use of the runes, as well as concious choice and ethic. Normally, the runes are chaotic, and difficult to control, often triggering effects not intended by the user, and collateral effects. Vandal has ben gifted with a seperate runic tattoo, the Rune of Law, which controls the runes, eliminating the collateral effects and unexpectedness. Someone well versed in chaos and able to understand might not need such a rune to direct the magic. His final rune is that of summoning, which is tied to his sword. The sword itself is inscribed with a number of runes for strength, speed, power, and skill. the blade can be summoned at will, and dismissed as well, where it sits in a small pocket dimension, inaccessible from any other known way.
Weapons of choice, if any: Fists, Rune Blade, pistol or shotgun. Firearms are rarely used, fists and magic being preferable to all else.
History: An ex-marine, Vandal had fallen on hard times, and resorted to making his way in underground street fights. An expert in several martial arts styles, including Aikido, Hwa Rong Do, Marine Corps Martial Arts, and Capouera; he did well, defeating most of his opponents. During this time, he came to the attention of a group that goes by the moniker of Legacy Multi-spacial Industries Inc., a conglomerate spanning several dimensions and countless worlds. After approaching him with an offer, Vandal was recruited into the services of the company, becoming what was called a Duelist. essentially a champion for others to settle disputes, he served the comapny well. After one such duel, he was kidnapped, and taken to a stronghold of a technomancer by the name of Moglis. Moglis had stumbled upon this energy source, and wished to test it in his experiments, which mostly involved human experimentation. It was he that implanted the runic tattoos onto Vandal's body. The power then unleashed uncontrolled by the experiment nearly killed them all, including Vandal. A short time later, Legacy's special forces, led by a man named Drachen freed the prisoner, and took Moglis into custody. Legacy specialists implanted the Rune of Law, and the Rune of Summoning, giving him the ability to control the power. Since then, Vandal has worked mostly as a wandering agent for Legacy, doing odd jobs here and there.
Additional Information: Vandal found out later about the Watchers, learning that he and Drachen were merely the creation of a being they soon began referring to as the Boss. While they don't know the details, they know more than the other expatriates, and much more than the normal person.
EDIT: spaces...forgot something...
