from a forgotten portal in the depths of the Underhive. 5 lithe darkly armored figures set through. Noticing that the area is clear from
mon-keigh filth a sixth figure steps trough. Warlock Renthal looked over the area.

What an area of emense filth. Its amazing that only the agents of Change are active here and the followers of Nurgle themselves.Renthal thought.

Renthal motioned his guardians to follow, as he donned his black helm that covered his features from the view of others. "Quickly we must find an area to house our operations. This mission will not be quick or easy."

Neither easy nor quick if the Council was right.

Yarloch suddenly snaps out of the meditative trance he was in. He stands up, quickly walking out of the protective circle of runes to shield him from the daemons of other chaos gods. A voice had been heard, only by him, inside of his head.

SEEK THE WITCHBLADE! YOU MUST CORRUPT IT! IT IS THE FINAL PIECE!

Yarloch waves at a nearby attendant.

"It has begun. Start preparations for the plan that had been previously discussed. We must get the final artifact, or else all will be lost."

The nearby attendant in robes runs out quickly, notifying others, setting off a chain of communication that will alert all Tzeentch-worshippers in the hive.

Yarloch's words echo in the cold chamber, a blue warpfire burning in a nearby brazier, making the whole room appear frigid.

"It has begun..."

Renthal surveyed the area. It was unbelievable what these Mon-keighs were capable of doing. This entire planet was a sprawling mass. Even up here on the surface of this cursed place the stench was barely tolarable.

His Guardian squad had just cleared out a hovel of Mon-kiegh scum.

"This will do for now. Secure the area and see that I'm not disturbed" Renthal ordered as he entered the building.

Clearing an area toward the back, Renthal began scribing Runics upon the floor. There are too many minds in this place, I must risk the Runes in order to perceive my next course of action

When the circle was completed Renthal sat in its center and prepared himself. After five minutes he stood and reached into a pouch on his belt.
He felt to cool touch of the stones, hoping this was the right course he grab a handful and cast them to the floor.

\He set off through the hive, using stealth and deception when he need to get past unnoticed, whilst letting his mind wander through the hive insearch of those that could be of use to him, or be a treat.

"REPENT!!"

\He had been distracted for the briefest of moments, but in that time he had managed to stumble across a redemptionist going about there tasks. The redemptionist was attacking three gangers, but this was of little concern to the Warsmith. What did concern him was that they could revel his pressence in the hive, that and after spending centuries on Medrengrad practicing his craft, his ice-cold ferocity would not be deined. He stepped forward, reveling himself from the shadows which he was lurking in.

"Your fight is with my, human" he said to the priest.

\The priest turned, and a scowl grew on his face.

"TRATOR!!" the priest bellowed.

"Yes, I am" he replied, with no hint of emotion in his voice.

\The preist charge towards him, rasing his massive chainsword and bring it down on the Warsmith. But the priest had not counted on the skill and power of the Warsmith. Ironfist caught the chainsword in his servo-arm and then twisted through ninety degrees, rendering it useless. He let it go and the priest jumped back, and then leveled the flamer pod on the back of the chainsword. The priest fired it at him, enveloping him in flame. When the flames died down he was just stood there, no worse for wear, with his combi-melta leveled at the preist.

"If that is the best you've got, then commend your soul to chaos" the warsmith said.

\He didn't give the priest a chance to reply. He fired his combi-melta at the priest, bolt shells blasting him apart. The gangers jsut watched, though some of them thought of saying thanks, but the where filled with fear of the giant warrior. He tossed his combi-melta into his bionic hand and turned to face the warriors. He rasied his hand and released his dark energies from it, vapourising the gangers in a painful death.

"Pathetic" he said, and continued off.

Shas'Ui Telkure paused as the sounds of gunfire drifted towards him. He checked the tracker, saw that he would have to go through the area of fighting, sighed. This was annoying, but best to deal with it head on.
He heard the woosh of a flamer, followed by the staccato rumble of a bolter. Half a moment of silence, then screams of agony. The young Fire Caste warrior move forward cautiously, pulse carbine held ready. He heard the heavy stomp of armored boots enter the tunnel he was moving along, switched his helmet display to light-enhancment.
One of the big men the gue'la called Space Marines was walking towards him. He recognized the eight-arrowed glyphs marking its armor. They were the markings of the forces dedicated to the 'chaos gods,' and they indicated that this gue'le was dangerous indeed.
The gue'la paused, squinted, and smiled, drawing his gun and leveling it at Telkure. They both fired simultaneously. Telkure ducked as bolt shells tore past his head, and smiled as the impact of his pulse rounds knocked the chaos space marine off his feet. The grin vanished as the marine, cursing, stood up, armor marked but not penetrated. Bloody light gathered in its outstretched left hand, then launched towards him in a blazing crimson bolt. Telkure dodged, barely, and ran like hell.
The Space Marine pursued him, his bolter tearing chunks out of the rockcrete walls. Withought stopping, Telkure armed a handful of the grenades he had taken earlier, lobbed them over his shoulder. The marine laughed as shrapnel ricochet off his armor withought harming it. He paused for a moment, lining up his shot, and put a bolt shell into Telkure's shoulder.
The round tore through muscle and armor, flying a dozen yards down the corridor past the Tau, who fell. Shooting arm limp, he rolled onto his back, scuttling backwards and firing at the marine. Laughing, the marine kicked the pulse carbine out of his hands. "You are entertaining, little Tau. But you are also annoying. Prepare to die." He leveled the combibolter at Telkure's head.
The only warning they had was a whirring sound, then the BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM of a Burst Cannon sounded behind him, the pulse blasts tearing into the marine's armor and sending him sprawling. The fire paused for a moment, then started again on the tunnel's floor. It blew apart, and the marine dropped, spewing profanity. Seconds later, his voice cut off as he landed hard on something.
A shape moved in the darkness, then resolved itself into a Stealth Suit. The other Tau helped Telkure to his feet, and they set off at a quick pace in the direction Telkure had been running. "You're lucky I found you, Shas'Ui. My people have already picked up the Water Caste and the pilots."
"Not that I don't appreciate the rescue, but what are you doing here?"
"Commander Farsight sent us here to set up an enclave. Your Water Caste friend was coming to meet us."
"Farsight? What would the O'Shova want with this planet?"
"You'll find out soon enough. Let's hurry."

-----------------

Warsmith Ironfist awoke sometime later with blood in his mouth. He had fallen onto a catwalk almost a hundred feet below where he'd been standing. That Tau had tried his patience. Next time he would not be so merciful.

OOC: No probs chaz, it was a good post.

\ The Warsmith consentated all of his black magics and begain to repair the patches in his armour, the wounds in his body had all ready sealed over but now they where begining to heal as well. His mind focused on other matters when he was satisfied with the repairs he had made. Tracking the tau would be hard, their races weak presense on the warp wouldn't make it any easier for him. What concrened him was that he was attacked by someone else, it seemed that the fire warrior had an ally, no matter, they would both die. But first he had to find them. He opened his mind up to the warp and begain to search through the hive for his pray's mind in the warp.

the deamonic presence at the base of the hive world was sufficent enoght to warrant a squad of grey knoghts being dispatched.
as justicar priesty lowered himself onto the cause way he coukd smell the putried smell of the deamonic. he knew of the iron warrior presence in this palce but had no knowledge of the bruetlity that he would see when he had been dispatched the tau were also in this palce and for all he would never openly converse with them he did admire there ability when pinned in a fire fight. he may have to call apon there services any time soon...

\His mind searched the hive for foes and allies. He came across the power of a deamon with a cult following, it could be useful if he could bend it to his will. He felt the minds of several eldar, he would have to fight them if he was to achieve what he set out to do. He could not find the tau, but that was of little matter. Finally he came across the mind of something that put some fear into his usually cold heart, a squad of Grey Knights, the milltant arm of the Ordo Malleus also known as the deamon hunters. He also came across an amulet that was atuned to the powers of the warp, he smilied, he had found his prize, or at least the major part of it.

OOC: / Finally! :) Got round to writing something. I think the one that the forum ate was better, but still. Also, not to be rude, but is it possible to tidy up the language a little bit, Priesty? /OOC

Immanio considered his options. These underhive scum wouldn't think twice about lying to the Emperor himself if they thought they had something to gain by it, and this filth certainly had something to gain by turning the commissar's attention elsewhere. Still, he seemed genuinely scared, and showing fear was usually seen as a sign of weakness in the gangs. Also, there was the scale of things. The gangers were certainly troublemakers, a violent bunch of criminals, but he would rather have a hundred gangers running loose than one of the blasphemous traitor marines. Even if the filthy rat was most probably lying, exaggerating or mnistaken, Immanio could not afford to gamble on it. He had fought beside the Astartes when he was in the Commissar training squad, and had seen their prowess. Once he had even faced the traitor marines. He certainly did not enjoy the thought of facing one of them again, but it was his sacred duty to the Emperor to investigate. If the kid was lying, he would deal with him afterwards. If not, there would be worse things to worry about. Much worse.

Still the problem with how to handle this situation remained. Even if the scum told the truth, the heretic would probably have moved by now. Still, he did not want to search the entire underhive for him, even if that had been possible. The ganger was the only source of information he had. Just then, Immanio noticed movement further down the passage. Smiling inside, he realized Karl had had the wits to follow another passage and had now sneaked into the one they were in about 20 strides ahead. Immanio motioned for the guardsmen to lower their weapons, making sure that Jakob was keeping a watchful eye on the scanner. "Very well, kid. Where is this giant warrior?"

OOC: it' been a while, let's see how i go.../OOC

Surprised at the commisar's order for his men to lower their gins, Mar hesitates a moment, and relaxes, if only a little, still prepared to drop through the floor at a moment's notice.

Mar gestures slowly with one hand, in a direction behind him, his wary eyes not leaving the men in front of him. "back that way, four hundred or four fifty meteres...he was on a level below me..as soon as i saw him, i knew he was someone i had no business with, and pretty much ran directly toward the settlement...i gotta tell the leader, so we can prepare, do something.."

By now the lad has his breath back, and has calmed down a little, but he still has his hands clenched into fists, to stop them shaking from the ghost of his fear at the giant warrior.

"Iv'e told you where, now can i go warn my settlement so he doesn't slaughter us?"

OOC: Mar's priority is for the settlement to be warned, so they can get out of the way of the Chaos Marine, neither honey nor vinegar cansway him, but the guy behind him can probably shoot him downm before Mar does his vanishing trick, and Mar can be taked into leading the group to where he saw the marine if the commisar sends someone to the settlement to warn them.

Mar won't attack, his priority is to get to the settlement, and he can't likely do that dead, which is what he will be if he takes on a squad of well-armed, well-trained soldiers.

hmm, that's about it i think, let's party! /OOC

Yarloch waited in the quiet of his study, reading an arcane tome to ease his mind even though he already knew every mystic syllable in it. He sighed, stroking his nearby familiar- a horrid cross between a Screamer of Tzeentch and a snake. It used to be a rat or something.

A knock on the door came, along with a whimpering noise.

"In. Now."

The sniveling figure of Yarloch's assistant came in, he seemed frightened of the gaunt man in the flowing robes. Reluctant to speak, he kneeled down and begin to chant off litanies to Tzeentch. They were ended promptly by a kick from the Chaos cult leader.

"What do you want, wretch?"

"Master... I have information... some of the wards we have set have been triggered. Powerful psykers are in the hive!"

"I will consult the daemon monitoring the wards myself. Leave now, I must have quiet."

"Yes, master."

With this, Yarloch grinned. It was just as Flameweaver had told him- the Imperial psykers would appear, then using them, he would have victory. The grey-clad warriors of the Inquisition, who had felled so many of Flameweaver's kin, would never leave this place alive.

\Ironfist quickly desended into the lower regions of the hive, he made his was as quick as he could to where his prize was held. Any opporsition that arose was quickly slienced with a bolter shell. When he got to his destination he found a cirular room with lots of writings on the wall. In the center was a pedistal with the amulet floating above it, showered in a beam of light. He could feel the tremendus energy that was being given off. He slowly walked towards the amulet, but once he stepped into the room the writings on the walls began to glow and he was hurled backwards and landed with a thud.

"Wards of protection to keep all put a few out, I should have guessed."

\He stood up and arced his arms towards the walls of the room, dark bolts of lightning came flying out of them. The writings glowed brighter and he stopped using the psyhic power. Quickly after he stopped, blues bolts of lightning came from the walls and struck him with the same power he had put in, no more, no less. He was flung backwards again and his armor was severly scorched, if it where not for the protective runes that covered it then it would surely have broken.

"It seems I need a little more help in this endevour"

\With that he got up and started off to find the chaos cult that he had felt earlier.

\ the justicar had felt the tremors from the lower regions of the hive. He was sure it had something to do with Ironfist. He had orders to investigate his presence on the hive so he had made his way down to the lower regions . The air smelt pungent with the whiff of chaos. From the scorch marks on the wall it appeared a battle had been fought here, yet he could only find evidence of a single marine being in this place.
He noticed movement in the shadows behind him, he twisted towards the intruder, las-shots bounced of his armour, justicar priesty opened fire, two bolts catching the intruders knee. Dragging him out of the shadows he discovered him to be once human, the distorted face of the youth had engraved choas markings on his cheek bone. The justicar impaled the cultist on his force weapon . He know knew where Ironfist was heading and he did not like it…

\The door to the cults temple was blasted by some powerful force. Ironfist strood through the archway that he had formed. Two of the cults guards came charging at him with the intent to stop him. With a move of his hands the two where sent flying across the hall. Any of the others that tried where stopped by psychic wall that he threw up.

"Bring me your cult's leader, I have need of him!"
