The year, according to your Gregorian Calender is somewhere in the late 2200s AD. The human race on earth has tamed itself at last. It has a one world government, and is a communist's paradise, there is no war, no hunger, little disease.

Humanity has reached the stars and found that it is not alone. They have joined four other great races of the Galaxy:


The Tyrians: A warlike race, most recent race to gain intersteller travel before humanity. Stubborn and bound by honor, brutal in the extreme. They resemble humanoid reptiles, scales too small to be seen unless examined closely. they average 2 metres in height, 150 Kg in weight.

The Ymirssans: Ancient explorers, oldest of the races, reached the pinnacle of their civilization long before tha dawn of the others. They live to learn and explore, they are not warlie, but they are powerful and mysterious. They are tall and lean averaging 2.2 metres in height, and only 100 Kg in weight.

Lokist: Amysterious race of living nanites, no one knows how they came to be, what they want, or how to negotiate with them as a whole. They appear to be a race of machines, but the machines are only vehicles to house the billions of beings who live in them. The seem to have group consciousness in discrete groups, they are extremely unpredictable.

Freyans: A gentle race of Telepaths, fascinatd by humans and the strength and range of their emotions. Peaceful but not pacifistic. They are very human in appearence with blue tinged skin. Average 1.75m, 60 Kg for males. 1.6m 50kg for females. They are the only great race Sexually compatible with humans.

Four more intelligent races are known, still in primitive staages of development:

Nekos: A remarkable pairing between humanoid and feline features the Nekos are not advanced enough to have space travel of their own. They live at the midway point between the Tyrian Empire and Human space. Erratic in behavior, lacking centrral government, and given to grouping in Clans and Small City-States. Currently their world is a protectorate of earth. The Females are sexually compatible with human males. No one has tried to see if the reverse is true.

Bogans: They look like a medium-szed ape with the head of a tasmanian devil. They have the personality of six year olds on Methamphetamines. The Bogans originated in the Tyrian Empire where they were enslaved by the massive warriors. They are geniuses at mechanics and given even the most limited knowledge of what a machine is for, they can improvise repairs with very limited resources. They became so valuable that the Tyrians complain about being enslaved to them. Most have very limited ambition and are satisfied with eating well and working on machines.

Anakim: The Anakim also had their origin in the Tyrian empire. They stand 2.5 Metres in height and weigh in excess of a Metric ton. Their world is massively heavy and large and graces its inhabitants with 5 times Earth Normal Gravity. Needless to say, the massive beings are incredibly strong. They have a jovial, party-animal nature but are VERY dangerous when angered. They have grey, elephant-like skin and wide, humanoid build.

SvartElfs: Despite their name, this race resembles nothing so much as a giant English Bulldog with tusks like a Boar and a perhensile tail. They started out as a pet of the Freyans and, since most people talk to their pets, were subjected to constant telepathic stimulus. This caused their brains to develop at a phenominal rate and they became as intelligent as their erstwhile masters, and equally capable of telepathy, they are very uncomplicated, direct beings in personality and are widely sought after as the best psychologists in the galaxy.

On earth, troublemakers and all those who do not fit in are invited to leave and follow the age old tradition, to set out and conquer.... A New Wilderness!

Race: Freyan

Age: Early twenties

Appearance: Standing an average 4'9" (Freyan standard) and is quite slender overall, but not skinny. Her hair is a dark, almost impenetrable blue, which flows down to just above her waist, usually tied back in many braids. Oula has a pleasant, yet slightly gaunt face, with a moderately high hairline and deep, all blacks eyes.
She wears a soft full-length hooded, blue-green coat, which comes down to her ankles. Underneath, she has an off white camisole and a black full-length skirt, half-fishnet, half-lace, which although is highly provocative, is used for her own self-comfort in hot climate. On her right shoulder is a tattoo of a circle.

Background: Working on Bravo-Charlie III as an inspectorate, making sure that employees aren’t either plotting against the manager of the Mining companies, or planning to plot, Oula is working off a debt she has with one of the company owners, who is taking full advantage of her telepathic abilities. She craves nothing more than to escape her self made prison.

Race: Neko

Age: young, about 20, looks a bit older though.

Appearance: Standing 5’10”, and weighing in at 150lb Kask is by no means a giant. Despite his size it is obvious that he works out a great deal and his light step seems to fit in with his cat like agility. Kask has short fur, except for his head where he has grown out a mane of long dreadlocks. His fur his a gunmetal grey for the most part with lighter silver patches on his forearms and lower legs, also his dreadlocks have gold dyed into them or are gene spliced. His eyes are a light green, and seem to scan the room at all times. He wears lose fitting parachute pants and a plain undershirt lose fitting unbuttoned over shirt or sometimes just an undershirt. He also wears a pair of light framed blue sunglasses most of the time, even in the ring.

Personality wise he seems to be care free most of the time, and just does whatever comes to mind first. He enjoys humans, loves their forms of ringed combat, mostly boxing and Kick-boxing and delights in showing up anyone in his weight class, human or Neko.
He changes drastically in the ring, it is one of the few places he can keep totally focused and keep to the task at hand. He is the current up an coming light weight contender for this region of space, Is on Bravo-Charlie III to do a few exhibition rounds and warm up for prelims.

EDIT: woah, this is pretty long! well, i basically put it in here for my own benifit, to solidify the ideas of him that were floating around in my mind. most of it is unimportant or irrelevant for the most part, just me figuring out where Mad is coming from. /EDIT


Name: Adric Thoen

Alias: Madadric, Mad, adric The Mad.

Race: Human

Age: 24

Appearance: Mad is 6' even, with a slender, well muscled build. Most noticable traits are his hair and eyes, genetic modifications, dark crimson hair, very messy, and bright crimson irises, with bright yellow pupils. Mad wears simple casual attire when not on the job, but wears solid, tight-fitting body armor under combat fatiges when working.


Abilities: his body has the best immune system and metabolisim money can buy the genetic enhanvements for, and his toughness and strength-to-weight torque has been significantly increased over that of what is the current standard for humans. Basically, mad's genes have been manipulated to give him an edge on the battle field. however, he also has a reputaion for cunning, and unexpected battle strategies, and many have exclaimed on the sheer dumb luck he seems to possess.

Mad has no paranormal powers.

Weapons: mad has training in most standard combat weapons of human design, but prefers his automatic shotgun and his NeoDamascus short sword, which he was adamant Clay retrieve from the Earth Govornment for him.


Personality: when it comes to his work, mercenary, he sees the world as professional. He holds no grudges or allianced where it is strictly bussiness, but may not always take a high paying job over a 'more fun' job. his past has led to give him a somewhat cynical edge to his inherently carefree nature, and he views most organised forces and institutions with open distrust, believeing wholeheartedly in Free Enterprise.

One thing will push the man over the edge almost instantly, imprisoning him. the reason Mad has not tried to kill Clay is because he sees the man as he sees himself, a professional soldier, not a jailer.

General Past: When he was young, Mad's family had been reasonably poor, but enterprising. while his father worked, as an apprentice to a designer and maker of custom weapons, his mother went on to higher education, training as an engineer on the space and interstellar travel inittiative.

Success in both fields mad the family comfortably wealthy.

when the now controlling govornment united the nation that Adric's family called home, this wealth was removed from them, the business the father had inherited from the old weapon smith was turned nito a factory that pumped out unimaginative dross, and while adric's mother continued her work on interstellar travel, she was shipped, along with the family, to the main govornment facility for space travel research, and put under another team entirely.

The family did not adjust well to the change, Adric and his father particularly. his life's work taken away from him, and given the insipidly dull work of Factory Administrator, his father fell into a deep depression, and the young Adric found himself an ostricized individual in a land full of well-behaved citizens of the peaceful new world order.

At the drafting age of 14, mad was inducted into the Police Action Force, for his three year tour of duty. Whilst he enjoyed the training, he balked at the aurthority, and spent a lot of time in solitary and being disciplined. at the age of 16, the boy defected and joned a mercenary group that fought for the still free countries of earth.

This group of mercenaries, that the boy grew up to be the man that led them, became known for their bright red hair, a mark used to antagonise the communist regieme they fought, and the past faliures. At the last battle, none of the group surrendered, and made the PAF fight hard for their deaths...Adric The Mad being the only one captured alive, naturally unconscious.

on a side note, the warden of the prison that had kept mad died shortly after he and clay left earth, of a sudden and unexplained illness.

Appearance: Looking her age and then some, Amanda stands about 5'8" and weighs 125 lbs. She's a mixture between slim and athletic, muscled enough to take on someone fairly larger than she is, but leaning towards the slim side all the same. With dark blonde hair reaching below her shoulder blades and a sun-kissed tan, she usually wears denim jeans, some kind of shirt - most often white - and a black leather jacket she is particularly partial to. She has three earrings in the right ear and four in the left, including a cartilege cuff, a tongue ring, and a gold-linked necklace. There is a tattoo of some oriental looking symbols in her right shoulderblade.

Abilities: A crack shot and an expert pilot, Amanda has customized herself through severe training into a jack of all trades. Hand to hand combat, knives of varying kinds and lengths, and handguns are her choice weapons. Aside from her ability with those, she is very fast, faster than most humans. The product of a highly advanced genetic experiement that endeavored to combine the strongest attributes of humans and the other great races, most specifically the Freyans, she possesses a unique genetic heritage, though the majority of those foreign genes turned out being recessive, it did give her a faint but blossoming ability at telepathy, and a dearth of strong emotions. She can remain very calm in situations, and does not act based on her emotions, though she can be rambunctious and troublesome at times, she goes on calculated rationale when she can, instincts when she can't, but emotions usually don't play a part for her.

She can suddenly teleport when she channels her telepathy talent together with a customized warp device. She wears it on her left wrist, almost like a wristband with a very small, flexible computer screen built into it. Rather than going through the entire process of warping, or, jumping into hyperspace with a ship, it hones on Amanda's telepathic ability and opens up a different kind of "space" and allows her to move through it instantly. The device only works for her, as it is linked to an implant in her para cortex, and operates on her individual wavelength only. She can, however, teleport people with her, to an extent.

Background: Amanda was created by a group of Collective scientists and geneticists, biologists and chemists, each the best of the best in their field. Even before conception, Amanda was a multi-billion credit project. The genetic manipulation before her birth was merely a precursor of what was to come. For the first eight years of her life, she knew nothing but the inside of a laboratory, white walls and people in white uniforms. For the next four she was kept in seclusion, training and learning to operate her given abilities. She had access to immeasurable resources, and took up a hobby in piloting, though mostly in a simulator because of the Collective's unwillingness to let her free in a real ship. Eventually, though, they did, and after a couple years of loyal flying around and returning as asked, Amanda fled, and has been causing havoc for the Collective ever since. She doesn't remember much of her first ten years or so, unfortunately.

Other: Her ship is also customized, a sleek hybrid that she practically built. She knows it inside and out, and recently perfected the hyperspace jumper. It's technologically advanced, even for the time, as far as many ships and their computer control systems go. She loaded it with an arsenal of plasma cannons and short-guided missiles.

Telepathy Explanation: Now seems like a good time to draw out the distinction between Amanda's telepathy and Freyan telepathy.

If you were to refer back to the description as to how Amanda's telepathy and other such "powers" bestowed upon her by genetic enhancements works, you'll first see that her telepathy is just as much as a hybrid of technological genius and genetic gift as she is. Since it's quite obviously impossible to "fake" a Freyan telepathic signal, and therefore, equally impossible to artificially create the talent, she is forced to enhance her own ability, though with a few twists. If she didn't enhance it, her telepathy would abviously be much weaker, and tentative. She would only have a 35-50% of picking up someone's thoughts, even when consciously searching for them.

In order to explain how the enhancements were made, one must first understand how telepathy itself works. We are all aware of the five main senses - touch, smell, hearing, sight, and taste - operate through the sensory cortex. The gift of telepathy however, operates through a section of the brain that is so underdeveloped in humans that plasticity of the human mind has lent that particular section to other mind processes; namely, emotion, which explains why humans have such an excess of emotions in comparison to the very monotonous Freyans. Whereas this section of the brain, which contends with the various inborn mutations and genetic throwbacks and "supernatural powers", which will be referred to as the para cortex, is approximately 35% operational in even the most talented of Freyan telepathics, in Amanda, as she was born - or rather, as she was created - it operated at something closer to 80%. Even so, it did not necessarily lend all that strength to telepathy, and rather dappled in various other areas of the supernatural. And, despite all the potential she does have, her control over it is very weak, which is why she still requires the assistance of the device she wears on her arm, the Pegasus. Though it is best suited for her teleportation, it also controls the ebb and flow of another device, microscopic to say the least, that was implanted in her para cortex. The reason for this was, as the geneticists and scientists responsible for creating her had hoped, to enhance the potential to 100% and give her control over it. While it did little to enhance potential, it did successfully give Amanda nearly complete control over her abilities, and as she gains more experience and strength, she will have less and less of a reliance on the device, till eventually she will not need it at all.

While that day is a fair time off, it still exists.

In the meantime, to be brief, the distinguishment between Amanda's telepathy is that hers carries a different signal than the Freyan's, because a telepathic signal is impossible to fake, so Amanda's is partially inborn, and partially substituted by the device. Because the signal is different, it works differently. Amanda does not simply read people, she gets into their mind by establishing a weak link, meaning as opposed to the Freyan ability of reading things in the conscious, she could extract information from the subconscious, preconscious, perhaps even the unconscious, though this is something she has never tried. It is through this link that she can also use her compulsion, similar to the way she compelled the thugs to fall asleep.

The downfall is if she cannot establish a link, she can neither read nor compel the person at hand. While many devices and techniques have been devised to block against telepathy, Amanda was created for the purpose of evading them. Devices do little to stand in her way, it is more often a matter of will, and exceptional will, which humans do not even possess and even most Freyans lack, that can dissuade her use of telepathy. One method, however, the only thing that as of yet she has been unable to overcome, is the Hindsberg Technique. And she has tried, and failed, many times. This makes her a little wary of Madadric.

I'm sorry, let me clarify, humans can have sex with Freyans and Nekos, but they are not fertile together.

I'll allow an exception for a special gene-splicing science experiment, since human genetic science is very advanced

Appearance: Rand looks rather young, the last throes of puberty still not having left his face entirely. He is rather short, 1 meter 65 and weighs an unimpressive 65 kilo. His build is skinny, though there's enough muscles to stand some strain. He had shoulderlength black curly hair, that usually hangs unkempt. He usually wears old clothes, most often looking rather haggard, and usually grey in colour. A utility belt round his waist is the only piece of clothing he seems to care about.

Ability: During his short life, Rand has learned to perform most engineering duties with very limited supplies and tools. While he is unable to turn a normal vessel in a wonderful ship, he can turn a wreck that most people would give up on into something that gets the job done. His piloting skills are good and raised to a higher level by the AI his father gave him, which assists him in any piloting he does. He also has a lot of experience with explosives, gasses and the like. He has trained in urban warfare, though a lot of these skills are escape skills out of neccesity. He also may find contacts from The Cause in a lot of places, though they may not all be as anthousiast to help.

Background: Rand's mother died in childbirth. Rand's father was one of the leaders of a communist organization that dissented called The Cause. After a yearlong fight, with the Collective hounding the Cause while the Cause did it's best to disrupt the smooth social machinery and cause rebellion among the people the troops of the Terran Collective finally managed to track down the center of the organization. Rand was there as well. It couldn't be avoided that he got involved, but he had been mainly preparing explosives and working on ships till then. With the help of his father, who was shot down before the 15 year old boy's eyes, Rand escaped, as many other scattered. Since then, most members of The Cause have been laying low. Rand however, continues his father's quest, though his lack of experience has prevented him from doing too much damage. The loss of his family and friends of The Cause, the solitary life with only the voice of his father on the AI keeping him company and the lack of support from people (who either support The Collective, dislike any communist aligned groups or are just jaded) gave Rand a bitter edge, and he has developped a taste for cheap and hard alcohol.

Bio: He was once the most feared Counter Terrorist/Military Cop in the world. He's seen large populations executed or relocated, helped purge activists, hunted down every middle east terrorist group until no one lived to spread the word of the Jihad. He's killed hundreds of people in combat and is addicted to the adrenaline rush of battle.

He is a great leader, demanding, authoritative, but sensitive to the needs of the men and women under his command. He is one of the best negotiators the Military Police Action Forces ever had. Away from work he is good natured and never left speechless, he always has something to say.

His last engagement, known as the last battle, was against none other than Madadric, who with his small army of guerillas was wreaking havok in South America. After chasing him across the continent, Clay flanked an attempted ambush and captured Mad and most of his men alive. A year later he decided to give up his desk job and cushy retirement and set off into space to find action, to do this he needed a partner. Using his influence and the promise that they'd leave the Solar System, Clay got Madadric out of prison and they set off to make their fortune among the stars.

Features:An atheltic build, not overly muscular. A perceptive watcher may notice the odd lines running under the flesh of his left arm and leg, as well as a portion of the left side of his torso. The lines formed from the cybernetics installed there. (This being the reason he weighs so much for his size) His left eye, is obviously mechanical, a number of small machines surrounding it, wires sinking through the flesh into the socket, where they attach to the silver reflective lens that sits in place of his original eye.
Bio: Your average run of the mill child of the common worker, there was nothing unusual about Sean's upbringing and childhood. He went to school like everyone else, he worked like everyone else. It was boring as hell.

Eventually, growing tired of the monotony of his life as a young adult, Sean's yearning for excitement got him hooked onto a ship, and bound for the stars. He soon learned to pilot, and to perform repairs on the small undermanned ship, eventually learning to operate and work on every piece of equipment on the ship, as there were not nearly enough people to specialise.

It was two years into his new career when the ship was attacked. A small group of pirates decided to take them down, not for money, but for spite, and revenge. The captain had made a few choice insults about the parentage of the pirate captain, which prompted the attack. The small trade ship had no chance, the battle lasted only seconds, wiuth the pirates leaving the crippled ship to float away, most likely to never be heard from again. It would have been so if the distress beacon hadn't been caught by another trade ship who had been off course. The thre survivors were soon picked up, and put into medical care. One of them died n the table. Another retired as soon as he was able to return to Earth. The third, Sean, who had by now earned his nick, vowed to return, to never give up what he had began. After extensive surgery and cybernetic replacement of numerous organs and pieces of his body, he was able.

Vandal soon joined up with the mercenary soldier, Clay Allison, having met the man in a rough and tumble bar at a small station in the Sol system. A literal jack of all trades, Vandal's flexibility in operations and repair impressed the soldier, winning him a spot as an extra pilot, repairman, and sometimes fighter.

Since the senior citizen posted a fight, I decided it's the best place to meet new characters and have you guys jump into the thread. You don't have to meet us their yet, but it's a nice setting even to jump into the background since the whole town is there.

Name: Benjamin Miau'yssie

History: The Great Plague on the Neko Homeworld caused a mass exodus of Nekos to Earth, where today a substantial minority of them reside. Benjamin was one such inhabitant. All four of his grandparents were refugees from the plague. Ben lived on Earth for the first 10 years of his life. At age 10 (being about 15 or so in human years), Ben left Earth and, against the wishes of his parents, joined the Cause. He fought with them for several years, until he was captured by Clay Allison and sent to a prison colony on Europa. Freed in a daring jailbreak led by the rebel Jeroen Rand, Ben struck out on his own, aided by his former cellmate, Gaz, a Bogan. Ben, now 14 (21 in human years), makes his living as a space pirate, traveling the galaxy in his highly customized, stolen ship, the Roguewanderer. Ben steals only as much as he needs to survive, giving the rest of his plunder to the poor. Since his jailbreak, he has been attempting to gain contact with the shattered remnants of the Cause, so that he may start working for them again.

Personality: As a second generation Earthling, Ben is very Terranized culturally, to the point that he does not even know any of the native languages of Neko, and his native language is Angloterran. Perhaps the only non-physical sign of his Neko heritage is his incredibly fierce independence of mind. He takes orders from no one, and hates the regimented conformity of the collective.

Physical Attributes: Ben is small, with a thin build, but nonetheless years of being a revolutionary, a prisoner-laborer, and finally a pirate have made him remarkably strong for his size. He has a scar running across the length of his right arm. His right hand is missing below the wrist, and has been replaced with a short blade that retracts into his forearm when not in use.

was born on the Freyan star ship Siminol 3, mother was human father was Freyans. he shares his race's fasination of human emotion, but has very little mixed emotions (when he's happy he shows it and so on). he is on the planet to study the diffrences in emotion between these humans and earthlings.

he doesn't feel a need to belong and because of his race doesn't need to eat very often. his slender build ma cause some to think he is week but he can telepathically lift things twice his weight and he is extreamly agile and fast. he is kind in nature and will not fight unless it is to save another liveing thing. when mad his phycic blasts canusually knock out an opponent with one go. but moast of the time orca has a up-beat atitude.

One more thing, the most a Freyan can do offensively with telepathy is scream in someone's head and paralize them with pain, then they have a real bad headache after it stops but no permanent damage.
