A bloody mess, thats what it is. John Q. Plotdevice is barely identifiable in the pile of bits and pieces. he was found in the back of a shed that had been in the process of becoming a "secret hideout" by some intrested but disgusted little boys. He'd apparently been sliced to bits, then scooped back together intoone place. A mess of bone and blood. Flies have already gathered and done their work with white slimy worms scattering as the body is cleaned up and removed.

Immediately after this discovery, a meeting is called for at the Expatville Town Hall. Everyone in the town is expected to arrive, and it is here that the townspeople will debate what to do about the situation, and to enact old-fashioned Expatville justice upon whomever they decide to be the murderer.

The Town Hall is basically a large, squarish building, fairly empty aside from the large round table that occupies most of the floorspace. Around this table are many, many chairs. Lining the walls are paintings of various moments in the history of Expatville, such as the founding by Kyhm the Impaler and the Great Postwhore Wars.

By now, everyone has taken their seats at the table, and someone calls for order. "So, anyone have any opening comments?"

Will murmurs a prayer under his breath, asking that the Powers That Be which the Cult of Unfounded Speculation claims to draw inspiration from will bless this meeting with speculation which is accurate, however unfounded it may be.

Sean leans back, his thick arms crossed over his chest as he turns his gaze around, taking a moment to glare at the less respected citizens, the wanderers and urchins and ragamuffins.

Wolf was worried, for John Plotdevice was one of his frequent customers and his untimely death would impact his business. He was wondering how this day's meeting would turn out, hoping that it would not become a simple witchhunt looking for a scapegoat. However, he couldn't shake the sinking feeling that he would probably lose many more customers before this was resolved.

Malcolm: God's wound's, that's-- that's just terrible. That's... ugghhhfftt, the poor bastard.

This is a grave matter, friends. Any speculation should be thoroughly founded-- we don't want to hang an innocent man.

Neville: Dreadful, really. That poor man, and in my home town! This type of thing is atrociously bad for property values. Let's do try to get this over with before tea, eh, gents? I've got several appointments to get through today.

Neville: Indeed. Surely it was one of those beastly underclassmen who seem to be infiltrating our fair village at such a steady rate. I'd rather just skip the trial and hang them all.

Wolf: Now now, settle down, everyone has a right to be here. Though they may not be as fortunate as you gentlemen they still suffer many of the same hardships. Let's first find out who could have commited this grisly deed instead of throwing around baseless accusations.

Alex sits, hunched over a small portion of the table, papers scattered over the surface in front of her ... pen cap in her mouth.

"Dreadful."

Sir Sodom gave a superior laugh. "Of course they have the right to be here. A man of my stature must show solidarity with the proletariat right? And I am certain my inborn skills will serve me well in aiding those unfortunate enough to be born in a lesser position by finding out who the thug.."

"Perhaprs it would be best to discover if someone would have a reason to kill this man?" Sean's voice was deep and harsh, forge heated air having seared his throat many times in the past. The victim hadn't been a customer of his in a while, but still an aquaintance, as were most in the village.

Tang grins. "Perhaps sirs, it is easier to claim innocence, than it is to prove it.

You shouldn't try to keep fingers pointed away from you, they should be poointed at the guilty party anyways. Surely a respectable fellow as yourself can understand that."

Frankly, I find it hard to believe that anyone in our town could be capable to such an atrocity. Everyone seems so peaceful as far as I can see. I'd like to ask, what kind of measures are being taken to ensure the well-being of the rest of the townsfolk?

Loki lingered against the walls, wandering around the outskirts of the meeting hall. She simply listened, for now, not yet interjecting with her own thoughts. This was recent news for everyone; no one had had enough time to piece together much about this very disturbing murder.

Edward brushes some of his messy blonde hair out of his face, adjusting his glasses nervously.

"Wh..y" He stuttered, hiding somewhat behind the art book he was holding. "Why is... is everyone presuming... that a man did it...?"
