It ends in July 2003.

You'll still have to get the next 4 pages manually.

Let me take the time out of the day to say this one little thing.

You make living so much more tolerable.
Thank you.

(In others words, I love you. SO HA)

Because I know I'm so awesome and also am so Humble I'll accept this praise.

Road Trip is now 18 months old and we are almost done, no matter how it ends I think everyone here knows that its probably one of the best RP's that some of us will ever take part in.

Kaze-Chan, we Salute you!(I will have a post later tonight(about 12 hours from now).

Actor.

Just wait for Bishou, Fold and Mad.

I'm patient enough to wait for them, I'd think the rest of you would be as well.

Yeah, relax. The more you complain, the longer it will go. It is inevitable.

son as i get an internet connection back, there will be the wrapping of up.

Everything will probably have to be revisited for RT2 when we start anyway, seeing as the end of RT1 is going to shape how RT2 starts, and i think most of us will have forgotten a lot of what was going on.

I really should finish off reading RT.

But then, there are a lot of things I should do...

I'll get to doing it some time, it'll be nice to partake in an RP that hasn't died.

Hehehe perhaps it may be starting soon? Let the chaos begin?

Anyway, I'm gonna update some things on my character sometime (little things, like fine-tuning his personality and such, and giving him a bit more history, that is also more well written). Perhaps when I'm not grounded from using the computer or something to that effect. And I still need to finish reading RT.

Anyway, anyone got any ideas on how to handle future seeing abilities? I was thinking having people PM me with a bunch of potential futures for their characters or something, but that would spoil alot of stuff......(my characters prescience may be powerful, but it sees a lot of possibilities as well, alot of which won't happen. Because otherwise it would be like, total god moding, yet very boring.) The PM idea could work, but it would need to be pretty well thought out because
A: I don't want to spoil things fore others
B: I don't want to have things spoiled for me
C: I don't think people want to PM me with what their characters will do

It could work if players PM me visions about their character (they could tell only what they want to tell) and I could just stick some of them together when my character bashes his body and expands his mind with whatever drug is in his pockets.
Figures I'd pick something that would require weird rules and such.

The problem with seeing the future in RP's like this one is that it's kind of a 'by the seat of the pants' deal. RT1 is a good example of well laid plans getting tossed out the window when something else comes along. The more freedom we have to change and adapt to new scenarios, the better.

players PMing you the visions may work...i can't remember how your character had them. if it was say, only while he slept, that would be more workable, it'd mean the prescience wouldn't have to be dealt with constantly.

Okay, I can understand that since my last post took a month to write I shouldn't really be complaining, but this is getting ridiculous.

If the post you're writing isn't turning into some huge 15-page behemoth like mine ended up being, what's taking so long, Antenor?

Because frankly, the other players are waiting on you, and I'm waiting on the other players, and this long chain of waiting better end pretty damn soon.

I mean, Jesusfuck, we've got only four months till the two-year anniversary. And in the past . . . two months, we've had maybe three posts in RT1. At this rate it won't finish till 2005.

I'm soooo very sorry, I'll finish it today I swear, it'll be up either tommorrow or the day after honest!

Sorry for making people wait so long

He gets his visions from mind altering drugs. The more potent, the longer and more precise the visions are. Weaker drugs meld the visions with reality, so he tries to avoid those because having visions and hallucinating at the same time is not a good mix. Going fully into the visions will put him into a coma for about five to ten hours, before he needs another six to eight hours for his mind to fully catch up. Generally, this is traumatic for him, and erodes his sanity. Visions usually last no more than a few minutes even on really strong stuff like meth. Needless to say, health problems abound.
Normally (without drugs), all it is the ability to predict things accuratly (coin flips, races, stock market), but against individual people it is greatly weakened. He can generally react to something a second or so before it happens (so he can dodge the bullet before it is shot, but the gunman can also reaim if he is fast enough). Generally, smoking a cancer stick will improve his ability to react to things before they happen to about two seconds. This ability is moderatly unpredicatble (aka it doesn't work against everyone). He can also have sudden insights (oh shit, this is a trap! Four minutes later, they are ambushed) and gut feelings about things (I have a good/bad feeling about this, generally somewhat accurate).
Dreaming often has these gut feelings/intuitions happen more often, but in weird dreams he cannot always figure out, and may even cause him to get the wrong idea.
