'Not at all... I think it would be a good idea if people came along, to organize into teams. Is anyone adept at tracking?'

"Do you need assistance?" Asked Arqesur stepping out of a dark alley. His partisan already had some blood drieing on it. It seemed that theives just couldn't get it through their skulls that stealing was wrong. It obviously wasn't a problem with the thickness of their skulls as his weapon had little trouble getting through.

"Theiving scum... flay... slit... kill..." Arqesur trailed off for a moment into a hushed monologue with himself detailing what he would do to the theif when he caught him, however he stopped and looked up suddenly. The malevolent glint gone from his eye he appeared to be focused again.

"Where is it that you intend to search first?" Arqesur addressed the large Lizardman with a level voice. He did not seem to be intimidated by the man's size even in spite of his own short height. A cocky grin was growing on Arqesur's face, showing his long sharp Skellian teeth.

Hra eyed the Skell oddly, finding it unique for one of the fishpeople to relish combat so much.

'First, we shall go to Alzis' manor, and discuss with him what was stolen and if he wishes to press charges. After that, we'll see who wants to work for a reward...'

With this, Hra gathers up everyone willing to go, and begins the walk to the mansion.

Alec's eyes perked up at the word reward. He really needed some money. so he followed shortly behind Hra's shoulder following him to the mansion. Alec takes a look around at the other people who seem interested in coming, and is taken back abit by the amount of joy that skell had for killing. Especially for killing thieves.

“Please catch that thief.”

These softly whispered words startled Aurelia out of her trance. She had been sitting nearby the mansion, meditating in the quiet solitude. Her golden eyes grew wide and she took a few deep breaths to calm herself and react logically instead of blinding rushing into anything.

What could that thief have stolen to get my Watcher so irritated? This isn’t like him at all... Aurelia made her way to the side of the mansion so she could stay hidden will she watched herds of humans and merchants and animal-like bi-peds flock into the streets, stumbling over each other in a vain effort to catch the cowardly robber. That could never accomplish anything of value. When would these people learn to think? Though, the one who threw the smoke bomb as the burglar disappeared wasn’t half bad. But... just how had that common thief manage to vanish anyways? It wasn’t natural, that’s all she could devise.

The crowds started to dissipate and become even more disorganized than before. She found amusement watching the small-time sprinters make a desperate attempt at stealing while the place was still chaotic. But a band seemed to be forming... headed by a tall lizardman who seemed to carry some authority. Aurelia wasn’t quite sure what this would lead to, but now would not be a good time to upset her Watcher with silly questions. Instead, she sat down with her hands placed between her feet. It was easily her favorite position to observe from, and a high perch as such gives a great view of the marketplace. Aurelia kept her eyes focused on the direction the smoke trail had lead across the rooftop and searched for any leading footprints. It was doubtful she could keep track of someone who she couldn’t see or sense, but, for her Watcher, she must try.

"Excellant, let us start then."
*Without waiting for the others, Exliran starts walking towards the mansion*

Hra leaves the group momentarily, to scout around for anyone else who may have seen the man.

'Give me a few moments... please, proceed to Alzis' house, and attempt to gather information there for me. I can't do this alone, we need to act now while he's still in their memory.'

Selkinzan's face remained impassive as the other Caftsman left. He mused silently to himself.

"Not a packhound, but a beloved pet then?" He shook his head. "That the fishes and lizards can be lured by scraps I knew, and the humans practically worship anyone devious enough to backstab his way to the top, but that a craftsman would serve some merchant..." There was a lot of distaste on the word "...who just sells things he did not make himself and of whom nobody knows who the father is."

He turned to the baker. "I fear that my appetite has passed, I'm afraid someone who deserves your products more shall have to eat them."

Before the baker had figured out the remark Selkinzan was out. "So... it was that...Alzis person that disturbed me. I suppose I'll have to let it slide... diplomacy and all." The craftsman made a disgusted sound. "I hope I can leave this backward place soon. It might be good at making food, but these people treat a vulgar merchant that's just a bit cleverer then your usual human and has some schemes almost as a god."

He heard noise and saw a group of people coming towards the house. They didn't look too happy He gave a mocking smile and called out. "Oh dear, have the doggies failed to get the bunny. I'm afraid that shall mean you will receive NO cookie..." He moved to walk past the gathering.

Alec keeps his head down while listening to Hra' acknowledging him by walking towards Alzis's house. Alec has to push his way through the group of people that has surrounded them just to get near the front of the mansion. Alec stops infront of the mansion door and looks at the shattered window scattered across the ground. He takes a look in throught the window then promptly knocks on the door. Alzis now inside after having tried to blow off many of the questioning people. His head is suddenly seen looking out throught the window.

Alzis "Look, I'm not going to tell you what was stolen, and you can just take you and your nosey friends elsewhere. Theres no news here."

The crowd begins to dissipate after having seen this same scene replay many times with other people. Alec moves over to the window grabbing Alzis by the collar.

Alec "What if i told you, i saw the thief, and almost caught him myself. I could catch this man for you, given you give me some information.....and perhaps, something to help me along..money wise. Think about it, no one else here saw this man as close as I did, or came as close to catching him as I did. You need me. So what do you say you invite me in and we can talk more of this. Oh, and perhaps allow in these other potential trackers. They seem to be adept in the ways of fighting. In fact there is a large military lizardmen who seems to be trained well in the art of war and combat. He is now finding more information on this thief. He will return soon. So, invite me, and perhaps these others if you wish, inside, and we shall talk of what has happened, and how we can be of service..for a small price of course."

Alec lets go of Alzis standing straight up looking him straight in the eyes. Alzis moves in from the window and goes to the door opening it for Alec and the other men. Alec looks at Alzis while walking past him into the mansion.

Alec "You will not regret this."

Aurelia glanced to the entrance every now and then; she didn’t want to take her concentration off of the marketplace. She had hardly noticed when the man who used the smoke bomb found his way up to the mansion along with the dozens of others who had arrived and left. But when he had grabbed her Watcher by shirt, near the neck, she nearly fell over in shock. Nobody handles her Watcher that way, absolutely no one! It was obscenely rude and disrespectful. Aurelia just about ran over to knock the man down, when he let go of the Watcher. To her surprise, He actually let the stranger in! What was going on?

Walking cautiously from the where she was hiding beside the mansion over to the front door, Aurelia tried to make eye contact with her Watcher in a most reassuring sense. She was more like a shadow than anything else, but He knew He could trust her not to do anything. After all, the mere thought of disobeying or sneaking behind her Watcher’s back would make her dizzy and nauseous, tripping with the weakness in her knees. She was completely trustworthy, and she would always live up to what her Watcher wished. So Aurelia walked in along behind Him, shutting the door and then keeping her sights trained on the offensive stranger should he try anything funny.

After a few minutes of unsuccessful searching in the crowds, Hra begins to head back towards the building, cursing.

He's just in time to have the door shut in his face by a girl. Cursing again in the Sho'kir language, he rapped on the door roughly.

'Open up, Alzis, we need to have words about whatever was stolen so that I can assist you.'

OOC: ok, so this is really my first of the kyhm RPG's and i was wondering how the storyline works here. Is it all just make up your own story, and the other people go along with it? Or is there a set plan to which we should fallow, maybe having one person control the NPCs. Im guessing its a make it up as you go and react to what others do kinda thing. but im just maknig sure.

OOC It is. Anyone can take control of NPC characters that have already been established, and they can introduce new ones, but try and avoid that unless necessary.

Alec stood against the wall waiting for Alzis to come and speak to him when he heard the knock at the door. He looked up at the door and was suprised to see a young girl standing on the inside. He pushed that fact to the side and came back to his original thought, the knock. Alec turned his attention to Alzis after hearing Hra' give his command from the other side of the doorway.

Alec "That would be the Lizardman I was telling you about, let him so we can talk."

Alzis nodded to the girl who was standing at the door, she then turned and opened the door revealing the large warrior, his size startled Alzis alittle bit.

Hra steps into the room as soon as he it is opened, his towering presence seeming to crowd everyone else out of the way. Still wearing armor, he clanked his way in, dwarfing the girl who had opened the door. He nodded to her thanks, and then proceeded to move towards Alzis and Alec.

'Is this everyone who has come? I thought we had more?'

"Let us deal with what we have.", Exliran followed Hra inside. If Hra was large then this Skell was Massive! Though he wore no armour, he still looked like he could put out a good amount of streangth.

OOC: Ero, your lizardman is way underwieght. Same height as my guy but only 170lbs? I in rl am 5'10 and 185 and pretty scrawny. Might want to fix that

"I am sorry to hear that you home has been invaded, I hope to help repair the situation." As Exliran scans the room he notices a young girl standing behind Stephen Alzis. A kind smile jumps to Exliran's face as he lowers himself to one knee.

"Hello, little one. Who might you be?"

OOC: He's finely toned, but more of a speed fighter, so he is rather scrawny. Also, lizardmen do not have as much mass as a human, they have bones more similar to a bird's, though they are much tougher.

Nada was hunched over in the corner of the small bakery, watching the varied specie of customer and smiling softly to herself ... for no obvious reason. Her hands were relaxed on the splintered counter, her legs crossed beneath her, her eyes lingering on the green-haired swordsmith conversing with a rather bewildered baker. She could have sworn to have seen him before, and yet, she noticed nearly everyone since the collapse. There wasn't anywhere for them to leave... the sights were stale.

As Selkinzan stood to leave the bakery, Nada followed, close enough to snicker at his 'cookie comment.' Her hands strayed to her pockets as she degraded her craftsman status to become stalker ... just for that one day.

Arqesur strode up the steps to the door of the mansion. There was a slight hint of uncertainty in his eyes. He wasn't fond of Alzis; not in the least. Though he admired some of the efforts he had made towards peace and order, he had been far too lenient. Arqesur would probably be doing the district a favour of he got rid of the slippery bastard once and for all. All he had to do was get around the guards...

Arqesur shook his head to clear the wandering thoughts and rapt on the door. He was taken moderately offgaurd be seeing the door opened by a young girl. He ignored her and paced cooly into the rapidly crowding room. A guard eyed Arqesur's partisan, but he responded with hiss and a snap of his sharp teeth.

Alzis was easily the center of attention, seeming the carry on several conversations at once. Arqesur had no interest in being part of any of them. He simply leaned against the nearest wall and watched Alzis. His lip began to twitch.

Alex had managed to restock most of his supplies from several helpful merchants that owed him some favors. He headed to a local smith to finish his business before arriving for his guard duty. As he entered the smithy, the light from the furnace blinded him momentarily while the heat seemed to sear his skin. He saw a large man working at nearby bench, examining a helm.
Alex asked, "Excuse me, are you busy?"
The smith turned around, replying "Not at all. What do you need?"
Alex removed the pin from the loops of chain around his arm and let the 3-meter long steel chain drop from his arm. He handed it to the smith. "I need to get this repaired but I only have a few hours so do what you can to repair the worst links. I also need the head to be sharpened again while I'm here."
The smith looked along the entire length and then looked at the head. It was a simple spearhead, edged on both sides, with a hook at the bottom of each side. "It'll cost you 4 credits." Alex handed him the money. "This shouldn't take long, come back in 2 hours and it'll be done."
Alex shook his head and smiled at the smith. "If you don't mind, I'll stay here. I trust you, but I really don't have anything else to do."
The smith grunted in acknowledgement and proceeded to begin his work on Alex's weapon while Alex sat on a nearby stool and watched.
