Not necesarily for The Purpose Of, but it isn't ruled out. The hell i will use is not THAT Hell.

I'm going to impose one rule here, and this rule will be probably the only constant, as far as natural laws go. There is only one way to achieve dimensional travel, and that is Death. the Death of the Traveller. If you int6end to use dimensional Travel, PM me for more information.

<b>age - </b> Real Age: Pushing 55.
Actual Age: Still just 42.

<b>appearance - </b> Long hair, very long and black. Is covered in scars and scratches from battles and wars fought long ago. Has two white wings that emerge from his back sporadically.

<b>renown - </b> A former SAS assasin his talent was in staying covert, however after the news reports surrounding the first Road Trip and his actions around that time he became well known to several factions that wished to use his abilities.

<b>origin - </b> Originally a button man for the Australian mafia in Brisbane Actor was caught breaking into a government building looking to destroy some records on his employers and was then recruited to the Army instead of jail, after serving 5 years he was promoted to the SAS where he was tested and found to have a significantly lowered and twisted system of morality making him perfect for solo assasinations.

After serving all around the world(spending most of it in South East Asia) he was taken out of the army after a disasterous attack on a Civilian villiage in the African jungle in which 400 civilians were killed by his men dispite orders to withdraw, the cold War was ending at this stage and the military could not afford an international incident and relieved him of command.

Actor was put to use in the Australian Government's "clean-up" crew an all purpose group of fixers for situations too sensitive for standard military and/or police intervention. Eventually his interest in killing for politicians began to wane(Six weeks) and he "retired" leaving about 4 dollars in change behind him "For the phone calls to the Dentists of the men you send to kill me." The government did not attempt to find him after this.

After working as a freelance assasin for almost a decade(the early to late 90s) Actor stumbled onto a conspiracy that cost him the life of the only woman he ever loved. She was an ex-girlfriend from Japan that he was re-united with, in the city of Singapore. She was killed by his hand after her betrayal of him and attempt to kill him for the Japanese mafia.
This led to his mental break-down and eventual arrest and internment at a mental institute in Austria babbling incoherently about gods walking the Earth in mens skin and the fiction of the cold war.

On being released by the god of Death, wearing the skin of a man named Paladin, Actor was assigned the task of hunting down and killing the "new" Actor, an assasin that had taken his name and reputation, hunting this imposter across Asia Actor found her in Shanghai, and discovered that she "Susan" while a sadistic killer was also his daughter and he refused to kill her. Paladin, upon discovering this went to the city and killed her in front of Actor on the streets of the city of Hanoi.

Actor spent the next four years hunting Paladin down, only resting when his body could not stand. Allying himself with Paladins nameless brother wearing the skin of a Priest called Michael he hunted Paladin down while trying to find his own, twisted soul, some sense of humanity.
Cornering Paladin in Sydney Actor narrowly missed but discovered a contract that Paladin had received on a man called Fold. Taking the contract himself Actor traveled by boat to America looking for the group callled the Expatriots to help him.

Regretably he found more shadows of the conspiracy in America, confronted in a research laboratry with the cloned girl Fiona who was built from the recovered memories of his own dead daughter Actor found some peace in taking her and protecting her from the forces that hunted her.

He took her to the deep desert where he buried her body now truely dead from her removal from the Computer systems of the Laboratory from which she controlled the Logistics of the group.

He then made a deal with the other gods, he would kill Fold, the destoyer, in exchange they would give him Paladin to kill. He returned to the Expatriots and witnessed the breaking of the world at Folds hands.

Instead of going to Folds tower Actor went outwards, to where to gods slept waiting for the end of the world. Here he fought and killed the God Paladin on the broken streets of Hanoi, covered with the painted faces of the dead left mad by the breaking. Thinking himself Dead Actor awoke and found himself with Paladins powers and skills, augmenting his own. Discovering himself now to be a god Actor vowed to destroy Fold and end the War to hell with the consequences.

In the tower Actor waited so long... and then awoke, somewhere underground and alone, his room is sealed and he is watched every day. He does not know what happened, only that the world is not dead but that the god of Assasins is prisioner, and that soon all hell would break lose when he escaped.

<b>Personality -</b> Angry, Actor is a god denied his place in heaven, he will never see the world beyond the gates he guards when his time comes nothing will be left of him but a shadow of a memory, there is no heaven, there is no hell for this man.
He also respects the Revolution.
His rare moments of kindness are almost always directed towards women and girls, sometimes trying to guard the members of the fairer sex from the cold reality that he embodies.
His attitude towards other warriors is one of scorn mostly, a hatred of the weaker killers that were not prepared to fight and destroy all that stood in their way. Towards the world in general he feels pity, that they never stood against the darkness as he did, that they never felt the chill of a dieing gods breath on their face. Actor is a study in contradictions.

<b>Powers -</b> Despite being a god Actor has few powers, his entrapment has weakened him greatly.
He can fly with his wings, but no great distance, they are bullet proof however, a convinient shield in emergencies, the feathers can become magazine clips at will for his guns(HK P7M13's dual and a Desert Eagle in reserve).
He is stronger and more agile than his frame suggests he is, lacking obvious muscle he is still very powerful.
He can die, just as easily as any other man can, the danger is that his killer may inheret his powers and he will be left with nothing.
He once could see through the eyes of a Hawk he owned, but with his new powers that one vanished sadly and she flies free now.

Much of this will come out in the RP, as the characters, you know, go on their road trips. Hemmington would make a good destination, for instance.

<b>name -</b> Never really mattered before, just call him PJ.

<b>age - </b> 19

<b>appearance - </b> Tall slender and ragged. 6’2 150lbs with short curly black hair kept short with a knife. Dressed in worn clothes found in abandoned homes currently khaki cargo pants torn into long shorts and a dark green tank top a large knife on a piece of rope used as a belt and various other useful trinkets in his pockets

<b>renown - </b> Unknown, when seen he’s thought to be either a poor beggar on the street or mistaken as a wild and most likely dangerous animal in his “home” and therefore avoided.

<b>origin - </b> In his earliest memory he was 4, he was alone then, he’s alone now.

The town was his, within a month he knew it inside and out. He was smart for a child, had a knack for survival, the canned foods in the grocery store alone would last him 2 years if he rationed himself.

By age 8 the forest had attempted to drive him from his home and failed.

At 14 he was a hunter, gun, bow, spear, knife, bare hands, didn’t matter to him, if he hungered he fed. Unfortunately at 14 he hungered for things the forest creatures couldn’t satisfy, he began traveling farther from home during his hunts. It wasn’t long before he found a small town within 3 days travel from his home actively fighting the spread of the forest, Obviously losing. He knew that soon he’d have a new place to scavenge but until then he watched and learned, remembering his old speech and becoming familiar with the norms of social interaction, though he never got close enough to practice it. He was a brave young man, but people are scary.

<b>Personality -</b> A loner, not through choice but situation. His hunger for companionship and lack of social graces may get him in trouble sometime.
Unfamiliar with the concepts of good and evil, right and wrong all he has known is need and desire.

<b>Powers -</b> Not born with any powers he has developed them by feeding on the dark creatures of the forest.

Agility strength reflexes all above normal he could best a man with twice his muscle mass without breaking a sweat.

Enhanced senses, keen eyesight, smell, hearing. He’s also developed a slight sense of body heat detection and can determine the medical/poison properties of foods through taste.

Creature insight, he has a mutual understanding with animals and demonic creatures. They don’t mess with him he wont mess with them, he may even cooperate with one if it leads to a mutual benefit.

<b>Weakness - </b> Humble, he has no idea how powerful he is, the huge men in neighboring towns seem godly to him.

Uneducated, while being very clever and able to create basic traps and crafts he has no knowledge about complicated mechanics and computers. He is also illiterate.

Pop culture references are lost on him.

Renown: Dark is the accredited author of Big-Nosed Gods and Words From the Ground. As the youngest best-selling author in the United States, she gained five years of flirtatious wealth and fame before inexplicably dropping into anonymity.

Origin: She grew up fast. Her parents perished in the cataclysm of 15 years ago, leaving her with Justin, her brother of 7 years, and an empty house that sometimes spoke to them both. With the generosity of mothers’ associations and the county church, she continued her schooling and flourished. Her books a success, Dark fell in love with a house on a cliff and abandoned thoughts of college for dreams of narrative. She wrote late into the evenings, anticipating the completion of her autobiography. At times she fell asleep on printed sheets and red markers.

Justin’s screaming woke her. He told her he had 15 fingers. His yelling convinced her to look a second time and a third time, and she assured that he was dreaming, wake up Justin, Justin you’re just dreaming. But he couldn’t shake the extra five fingers from his hands and late at night, while Dark furiously scribbled in red all over her writings, he took a meat cleaver to those hands. Five fingers. One for every year she accepted checks from her publisher and bids from Warner Bros and Universal.

When she heard his ragged breathing in the morning, she threw away her writings. She sprouted 15 fingers from her palms and chopped them off the next day.

Personality: A writer’s ego. A motherly affection for young paras. Disgust for herself.

Powers: Her abnormalities spring up at the strangest of times. None at the present.

<b>origin - </b>Raised just outside of Vancouver, Skjie's family, home, and friends were destroyed in the cataclysm. Alone, deafened from an accident, he eaked out a living in the new jungle that overtook his home.
When his powers began to manifest, he left the jungle he had spent his young life in, following the power.

<b>Personality -</b>Skjie is generally sullen. Unable to speak/hear, he generally follows his instincts, doing what he thinks is nessecary to survive. Drawn to power like a moth to light, Skjie is drawn to paras, unable to resist. He tries to communicate through his powers when thought of.

<b>Powers -</b> Deaf, Skjie's power has manifested in limited telepathy. Having civilization dissapear at a young age, his English skills are weak at best. Thusly, when communicating, he understands only images and emotions. His telepathy only works within a hundred metres, so is useful for little other than survival. He is, though, able to act as a conduit for thoughts, passing on what he gets, even if he is unable to understand it.

His only other power is being able to sense others power, the greater the power, the farther he can feel it. Recently, he has felt the greatest power of his life and has left the Jungle in search of it.

She's a rather short girl, at 5' 2". Her hair is the shade of dark fuschia that comes from a mixture of magenta hair dye and naturally darkish hair, and it hasn't been cut in ages. She generally wears whatever she can kind around - vintage dresses and boys' blue jean shorts, oversized poet shirts and baggy overalls, eensie-weensie teeny-weenie yellow polka dot bikinis (that she wore for the very first time when she was little), colours and polka dots and tye-dies, and scraps of fabric tied into her hair. She's sort of a modern, female Jack Sparrow - complete with doo-rag and a hat. (Although, it isn't always a tricorner hat.) She rarely wears makeup, and has a scattering of freckles. Her eyes are naturally that shade of hazel that is always on the verge of green.

<b>renown - </b>
She's rather well-known in the tiny town of Natchitoches (on the southern border of an edge of the Hateful Forest) for being one of a cluster of strange, intelligent teenagers. The government has a highly secretive school on the grounds of the local college, known only by the code name "LSMSA". The students are generally avoided by the local townspeople. The few (rather idiotic) local frat boys that occasionally try to harass the students (Example: By throwing beer bottles at them as they walk along the side of the road) have had mysterious runs of... ill luck.

However, even among these Gifted and Talented Paras, or "Gifties", she's rather well-known for her love of science-fiction and fantasy novels, her anime obsession, and her odd fascination with the bits of Hateful Forest that the students can see.

<b>origin - </b>
Brooke was a quiet little kid in a rather normal household, constantly reading. Around the age of eleven, puberty began to set in, and she began getting… eccentric. Her parents encouraged scholarship more than creativity, and her new changes horrified them. She was collecting outgrown clothes from classmates, dressing herself up oddly, staying outside playing instead of doing her homework. She never told them what she’d been doing, only that she’d go to “Talk to friends.”

The truth was, Brooke’s powers had begun to emerge. Unsure of how to deal with them, she listened to the new voices in her head. They constantly told her not to tell adults, to try to hide the powers. They also told her that they would leave if she wrote them down.

To make a long story (that will hopefully be gone over in detail later) short, she was found out at age 15 when she was writing in class. Her eyes began to flicker with inner heat, her hands smouldering with flame, as she wrote and became possessed by the<a href=http://www.siamese-dream.com/reference/agni.html>Hindu god, Agni</a>.

She was quickly sent to LSMSA – a government funded school attempting to train Paras in the use of their powers while keeping them properly educated.

<b>Personality -</b>
Brooke is very observant, but not entirely <b>there</b> in her head. To the casual observer, she seems to be absent-minded and quiet, as if in a constant dream. It’s very hard to get close to her, as she can’t carry on a normal conversation. Often, she’ll trail off in the middle of a sentence to go examine something that catches her interest. Those who are in classes with her, however, can testify that it is – while not an act- not entirely real. When presented with a challenge, a certain spark lights up her eyes.

Her honest personality on most things is that she doesn’t give a damn. She has no concern about politics, governments, the plight of Paras, or any other national/international issues. What matters to her is that she is allowed to roam and write. She generally focuses most of her concentration on enforcing a mild order in her mind, and on making certain that characters are only allowed through her when she writes.

She loves classic science fiction and fantasy, seeing it as a sort of prophecy that is currently being fulfilled. She also has a weird fascination with the Para Forest and has collected pictures of it for years. She is constantly sneaking out from the school facilities to try to reach the small branch of the Para Forest near Natchitoches, but has never managed to make it past the border guards.

<b>Powers -</b>
Powers: Brooke’s powers are hard to pin down. What stands out above everything else is her writing ability and the consequences of it. When her characters begin speaking to her, she will eventually have to write; this can also cover speaking the story out loud to herself. When she begins to vividly write from a particular characters point of view, the character begins to “take over”; first signs of this loss of self are the changing of hands to look like the character (example : if writing a warrior, Brooke’s hands will turn into tough, grizzled, battle-scarred, scary manhands) and the melting of brown into the colour of the character’s eyes.

There are MAJOR limitations to Brooke’s powers. For one, she begins turning into the person; thus, if she’s writing a “Big Bad” from one of her stories, she’ll begin to take on the mindset of the Big Bad. Secondly, she cannot god-mod. She can only write when a character is speaking to her; likewise, when a character is speaking she finds it hard to do anything but write. Finally, she despises using her powers. Although she’s a writer at heart, losing herself when she writes has turned it into a painful experience. She will avoid writing unless the characters force her to or it’s a matter of someone else’s survival.

On a final note, it should be warned that her characters can, to an extent, “feel” what’s going on.

Name: Ezelek

Age: Looks to be about 23-24ish, although is in his mid to late sixties. Immortal.

Appearance: Ezelek is about 5'11" tall, a lean wiry figure, but not too much that he doesn't have a defined muscular sense to him. His hair hangs down at chin length, parted so it completely covers his left eye. The colour is predominiantly gray, although it seems to have taken on the faint hint of red, an attribute which has been accredited to the consumption of demon flesh. His eyes share the same grayish colouring as his hair, maybe a fraction or so lighter, and his left has a "dead" appearance to it, no pupil, and seeming to be lacking of any moisture. Other than that, he appears completely human, on the outside. Internally, he has gained another heart in his chest, on the right side of his body, and the two seem to take turns in beating, sometimes (rarely) beating together, and on even rarer occassions, both stopping for brief periods (he's not too happy during these periods, since it imitates a heart attack, and then a semi-state of death until one or the other starts again). Other organs have been re-arranged, but they all amazingly still work, although it's not like he's cut himself open to check where everything is, and to see if anything is new.

Renown: Known, but not known. During his period of freedom, Ezelek aimed at becoming the world's greatest thief, which he achieved, leaving a puzzle piece behind at the scenes of his crimes. Since he was never spotted, caught, or identified in any manner, no-one actually knows that he is the thief, thereforing making him little but an odd man with odder colouring to the general population. To those curious, the puzzle was a giant work, of 10 thousand square feet. It depicted a happy yellow ducky on one side, and a smiling cucumbird on the other. It is currently three pieces away from completion.

Origin: Raised in the Facility, Ezelek was an original part of their Think Tank unit, a program which would later be responsible for some of the greatest new designs in this current day and age. After being 'saved' by Mad and Muz from a bully called Banz, he forged a bond with the two older boys, initially hero-worshipping Mad (which later turned to just being bastards to each other), also finding an intelligent partner in Muz, someone who could actually follow his thought process (unlike Mad). Escaping the Facility in their early teens, the trio went on an underground spree of destruction and theft... Although mainly destruction, thanks to one of them. They were later recaptured, and the Facility, deciding that Ezelek's talents were not beneficial enough to take the trouble of holding him, used a "mind limiter" to deny him access to higher brain functions, rendering him incapable of using his abilities, or high level logical thinking. Sold as a slave, he traded hands a few times, finally ending up as a pilot for a Smuggler named Jesus. He stayed in that position for three years, before a chance encounter with the Expatriates left him free, both in body and in mind. Joining their escaped, he was the first to reach Fold, the first to earn a victory over him... And the first to die at Fold's hands. Death wasn't the ending it had been cracked upto be, as he eventually found himself in Hell, about five years after Madadric arrived there. He held off eating Demon-flesh for about a week, an incredible show of willpower, until finally succumbing to it, with conditions. "... I only eat girls." The lack of physical change by his devouring of the flesh made, and still makes many of the demons consider him retarded, but he very much has the abilities to shut them up, and with Mad as his "partner", no-one really wants to mess with him.

Personality: In the beginning, Ezelek was what could be considered as a somewhat polar opposite of Madadric; Cool and cold logic to counterbalance the wild fiery Chaos. But, as time passed, he was eventually "corrupted", and slowly began to develop some Chaotic tendencies. Mostly, the more Orderish logical side of him is in control, but as Chaos whispers and grows stronger, he is prone to fits and spasms of mindless rage and destruction, much like those of Adric the Mad. The two sides have appeared as Serpents to him, snakes that curl around his arms, only visible to him (re: Most likely delusions), with Chaos on the left, and Order on the right.

Powers: Ezelek is one of the Three Not-So-Nice-Guys (or Biggerer Baddierers), and has a larger array of abilities than before, thanks to his time in Hell.

Logical Mind: When in a state of Order, his logical mind pretty much can decipher anything given enough time, and allows him to pick up skills rather quickly. Mostly, it's used for him to be able to break into anything and steal whatever treasure he desires, as no lock nor security system that exists has been a match for it so far. For an example of picking up skills quickly... He can go from a total newbie to pro golfer in an hour flat. After all, "It's just simple geometry and physics."

Future Sight: Whilst he can't actually see the future, he can watch a situation and figure out how it will unfold and end just as it has begun. This is also used within his fighting style, letting him see the patterns within someone's movements, and easily weave around them.

Strength: Not quite as strong as Madadric and Rand, but strong enough to pull a metal door off it's hinges, although for some reason, he still prefers to pick the lock. If he's in a Chaotic state, his strength can flux to a peak of more than the duo's, or drop down to leave him as weak as a kitten. One of those really weak kittens, too.

Speed: Ezelek is fast, but appears a lot faster than he really is because of his ability to read movements. Thus, he couldn't actually dodge a bullet, but is already out of the way, because he has "seen" the path that it'll take. Chaos effects this to a degree, but adds a wild twitchyness to his movement pattern, that makes it impossible to judge in which direction he's going to move.

Toughness: A sledgehammer to the chest will drive him back a few feet, and perhaps give him slight bruising, but beyond that, he'll get off unscathed. He can't take nearly as much damage as some of his companions, but tends to avoid most of it, which seems to really help the whole "not getting hurt" thing, that he likes to do. This is one trait that isn't effected by Chaos.

Regeneration: Again, slower than the others, but fast enough that you can physically watch bones knitting back together, muscles regrowing, and skin recovering areas. When effected by Chaos, only pulsates faster, never slower.

Addendum: I'm going to use a random dice generator, once it's well in and all going, for decisions on how Chaos will be affecting his skills during given scenes, to add an element of realism to their pattern. Or, lack thereof. Or something.

name - Matthew Purchase

age - 19

appearance - A tall lanky teenager, Matthew doesn't look to have fully grown into his body yet. He try's to draw attention away from his boyish frame with his stubble and dreads, both of which he has been growning since he was 17.
renown - Local myth: People from the same area as Purchase may remember a boy who walked away unscathed from a collapsed appartment building, after being trapped in the rubble for 3 days. Purchase was blacked out for the entire time, and has no memory of how he survived.
origin - Lived a mainly uneventfull life, the events of RT taking place before his memory begins. His earliest memory, and most important influence is the collapse of his appartment building when he was 10. His parents absent, Matt was babysitting his younger sister, Mary, who did not survive the collapse. After this event, Matthew became more and more withdrawn. His memories of the past faded, and he became more and more withdrawn. Moving out at the age of 18, Matt opend up a little, and is for the first time in his memory, begining to have normal social interactions.

Personality - Maturing slower than the rest of his generation (who had a tendancy to grow up fast in adversity) Matt is only now coming out of his shell. By no means shy, he has an unfortunate ackwardness about him.

Powers - Voodoo Body- Matt is empathetic to anger rage and pain.

Defense: Matthew's body experiences pain and physical damage on a different level. Damage has less to do with physical forces, and more to do with mental intentions. Matthew only ever gets hurt when the damage is inflicted on purpose. A punch in the nose hurts him just as much as anyone else, as does a bullet wound, (as long as the person who fired the gun ment the bullet to hurt/kill someone.) That being said, he is immune to accidental damage, such as having a building collapse on him, a car crash, or falling from the top story of a sky scrapper. Of course, if he was thrown from the sky scrapper, he takes damage as normal.
Offense:Rarely Matthew may act as a conduit for pain, given the correct circumstances, damage done to him can be mirrored at an oppenent. The dammage is still done to Matthew, but it is also done to whoever willed it so in the first place. Matthew is currently unable to controll when this does and does not happen.
Sensory: Matthew can sense when people are angry, hurt, or wish to inflict harm to him or others.
Sidebar: The more someone wants to hurt Matthew, the more likely it is to happen. A cold-hearted merc. who simply wants to get the kid out of his way may find him very difficult to put down, but an angry toddler who wholeheartedly wants the candy in Matthews hands, could probabably put him down with one swift kick to the shins.

As matthew gains more controll over his paranormal abilities, great strengths and weaknesses will arise.
Strength first, to make people upset: Damage amplifacation, while limited to the amount of hate or anger matthew can chanel, given sufficent practice, matthew's attacks (be they hand to hand, or gunshots etc.) can be amplified by the anger of the attacker. The more someone wants to hurt Matthew, the more powerful matthew's attacks become. (After reading Mad's character description, I would like to clarify that simply because a character poses demonic hate, doesn't mean that matthew will be able to chanle all of it... he is limited to only a fragment of what the person is feeling and while this fragment grows with practice and time, it is highly unlikely that he would ever be able to bring down any 'high level' characters using his damage amp)
Weaknesses:
Increased pain empathy: The more powerfull Matt becomes, the more likely he is to 'feel' others pain. And when he senses someone take a hit, he takes it too, at a reduced level. But, the more power he gains, the more he gets hurt. At current levels, matt expereiences only a minor ache for a broken bone, and a sharp pang for bullet wounds.
Iron Maiden:The persons who's rage matt is most empathetic too is his own. The more he wishes to hurt someone, the more likely he is to hurt himself in the process. Punching someone in the face in anger is more likely to break his own nose than someone elses. In a fight Matt must be cool and collected if he is looking to do any damage... and cool and collected isn't what you would call a 19 year old boy. Please note, thanks to cosmic irony, Matt doesn't damage himself when using his damage amplify ability, because he is using his opponents anger against him, not his own.

First time trying this. Here we go!

Name - Jacob Peabody

Age - 28

Appearance - He's 5'10'' with a medium build. His black hair is cut short, a la Tom Cruise in Top Gun. Smiles come easily to him, and his merry blue eyes make them uncannily infectious. Due to his plain, yet amiable features, casting would put him as the good-hearted neighbor, or the protagonist's best friend. He's your average guy, and when he puts on a baseball cap, t-shirt, and jeans, he'll generate so much cognitive dissonance that your eyes won't even catalogue him.

Renown - Outside of his town, he's unknown. People might take a second look at him, thinking that he's a guy that they've met before, though.

Origin - Jacob has lived a blessed life. He grew up in a tiny town, and is accustomed with the good ole life where each day is like the previous one. He managed to get along with basically everybody, adopting racial lingo and mannerisms and switching between them according to whatever situation he was in. His middle-class parents were loving and caring to him and his sister. He took courses in Criminal Justice, and with a strong sense of duty, justice, and patriotism, he applied for a job in the CIA.

He got in. His superiors immediately recognized his latent ability to blend in, and recommended him for clandestine services. He went through intense combat training, and is now keeping tabs on the Russian response to the rapidly growing forest.

Personality - He's instantly likeable to anyone he meets. And with new people, Jacob can not only break the ice, but he can lay down antifreeze. He's that type of guy who you just know is reliable, smart, and would give two cups of sugar to you if you asked for one, regardless of how long you've known Jacob. His experiences with espionage and the outside world has jaded him a bit, but he still remains a good-natured man with a strong sense of chivalry. Of course, thanks to the CIA, he can now flick a switch in his mind and instantly become a callous backstabbing bastard.

Powers - Jacob is what you call a people person.

Charisma: Thanks to his cheery, genial features, and easy-going manner, Jacob can easily win over even the most detached, unsocial person. He'll tailor his actions and speech to what he thinks is the most comforting for the "target" in order to befriend him or her. As a side-effect, he can usually recognize where you come from by your speech, body language, and even the way you walk.

Silver Tongue: The more you talk to Jacob, the more you feel like best friends and that you can trust that he won't reveal your innermost secrets even when threatened by death, no matter how trivial the secret was. If he gets to know you over a period of a week, you'll do things that you don't want to for him, but he somehow spins it so that you think you thought of the idea first. It'll look like he's diving through hoops to please you in the beginning, but later on you'll be doing it for him.

However....if an enemy want to kill him, and is either deaf, or wearing earplugs, he's doomed.

Weapons Training: Having grown up with a gun nut and hunter for a father, Jacob shot his first snipe at age eight. he has impeccable accuracy with all types of firearms, but feels more comfortable with a hunting rifle.

Blending: If Jacob wears something similar to a crowd that he's standing in, a man searching for him can stand next to him and not notice.

Strength: He isn't the strongest of guys, but physical training helps. However, Jacob has gone through hand-to-hand combat instruction, and through joint-locks, throws, and leverage he can subdue even the toughest of opponents.

Speed: Rigorous CIA training has boosted his reaction time somewhat. He's still human, though.

Jacob is pretty average in all other regards.
