Welcome to Kyhm Forums Stoat Monthly.
This is a monthly art contest for fun and community participation.

Rules are as follows:
At the start of every month, the theme for the month is chosen by tthe previous month's winner, described, and any reference pictures posted. The theme can be virtually anything, from a person's specific personal rp characters, to a concept as general as "zombies". Winners are decided by popular vote, and the winner, in choosing the theme, can include as many limitations as e likes, whether about what level of pornography is permitted, to whether you can submit something you've already made.

General Schedule and Structure:
Once the theme is announced, you generally have about two weeks to submit something. At the end of the two weeks, the submissions are posted and voting is opened. Voting is done on a four vote/ two catagory ballot, with two possible votes per catagory. Ballots are submitted via PM to me, and voting is closed after two more weeks, at the end of the month, and the winner announced, who then gets to choose the next theme. Because there are two catagories, the all together winner is decided by the disinterested objective choice of a flipped coin.

Submissions and medium:
Because we have such a varied pool of talents here at Kyhm's, the range of submittable works is reasonably wide, but should not be so wide that it would be like comparing apples and squid. To keep the range within the realm of "fruit", some limitations will be suggested. are:
Original art (2-d)
Rhyming poem (four verses or fewer)
Photoshop collage (Using at least three different images)+ Fancy coloring
Fiction/ Tall Tale (500 words or less)

Voting:
The two catagories in which to vote are Technical Execution and Creativity/Imagination. you may voted for two candidates in each catagory, for a total of four possible votes. As stated, there will be one winner for either catagory, and the overall winner wil be decided by a coin toss between the two. Please pm all ballots (one per person) to me, Spools.

You do not have to be a contestant to vote, and all you have to do to be a contestant is to submit an entry before the due date. Late entries will not be accepted. If you are a contestant, go right ahead and use up to two of your four votes on yourself if you really think it's fair.
Simple enough, right? Sort of! Hooray!

This is in the stoat forum because a. I can moderate it and b. it's already an image board, both of which should mean less work for ther admins.

EDIT: There doesn't look like enough submissions to support a four vote ballot. Votes have been cut to one vote per catagory, for a total of two. It's more than enough.

The only suggestion i can make to the revision of the rules is if we make a "Voting Thread" once all submissions are in, and run a poll. It's all automated that way, we can set a cutoff date, and since it's easier, more people will do it.

Of course, there may be a reason i havn't thought of to not do it that way.

I have two reasons:
1. I don't want any double voting
2. there's two voting catagories, creative and techincal, so we'd have to make two threads, a needless complication.
2a. have to have two voting catagories because the submission catagories arn't very comparable.
