Hell yes. Mind you, I'd happily settle for the ability to exact physical violence on people without being subsequently dragged in front of a court.

I'd just like the ability to know how to make people shut the fuck up, asap, the second they become offensive to me.

I think I'd rather the power to shut them up BEFORE they became offensive to me. But then, they're usually offensive before they open their mouths.

I mean, come on. People are going to say things that offend. There's no way to stop it. Why even worry about it. Let people say and think what they want.

The only thing I cannot stand is someone to tickle my face when I'm asleep. My stepsister tickled my nose with a feather, and I punched her in the jaw involuntarily (I was still asleep). I dislocated it.

You know, something came to me about one of the attacks Jason's character mentioned, specifically the heart-squeeze one.

Has Randy read any of Larry Niven's "Gil 'the ARM' Hamilton" short stories (collected in the anthology Flatlander)?

The series name character was an asteroid belt miner who lost his arm to flying rock debris when he was blasting a roid (to mine for resources), and later found that he had developed a psychic arm (for lack of a better term) to replace the physical one he lost (and later got replaced with a transplant, though the psychic arm remained even with a pair of physical ones). I forget which story it's in, but he uses just that attack, squeezing the bad guy's heart to kill him before said bad guy gets around to killing the hero.

Well that depends. I think that people should be able to express their views, even when they offend somebody (including me). However I do care when somebody does something to offend me, otherwise it wouldn't be offensive. :-?
