Actually, what I miss is Ian's Veracian cleric wardrobe. That was one cool jacket. All the ambiance of a bad-ass in a trenchcoat with none of the gothic posing. The way he wore it, the thing just emmitted quiet lethal seriousness and respectablity.

I just knew, when I read that overflowing strip, that whomever started the thread would choose a seriously lame topic.

What would you prefer? "So this is what going crazy feels like"? "Wonder if that sex ring could use a new eunuch"? "Could we please go back to when you had a giant stick up your ass now?"? Or maybe just "Oh right, no Ellis"?

By the way, upon finishing this page, was anyone else's first thought, "Going?"?

I would have gone with "So this is what going crazy feels like", myself.

Tell me I'm not going crazy myself and the page actually is bigger.

I'm just waiting for Ian to say, "Sorry, what were you saying? I wasn't paying attention."

Yeah, time for Ian to say something devastatingly polite and caring and leave Meji speechless. It's a weapon against which she has no defense.

Overall, of course, to paraphrase an excellent Moonlighting episode (Bruce Willis doing Shakespeare!) it's not Meji's fault she's stuck with all the exposition.

Hmm, Ian seemed to speak intelligibly last comic, why is he suddenly making noises like Bill the Cat?

Speaking of cats, it looks like Meji actually misses her familiar. I guess she can't rain lightning bolts on Ian for fear of retribution. Although in this case, it might be a good idea to clear his mind of the cobwebs.

I'd almost say that Poe is moving the story into a wild west theme - with elves. I don't think that has been done before.

Give it five minutes and Meji will either have to help Ian go to the bathroom or clean up the aftermath.
Then things get interesting.

Yep, particularly if he's got two broken wrists.

Guy at the warehouse where I used to work was anxious to get home and get married on the weekend. So he took off across the dockyard instead of taking the sidewalk and tried to jump a fence. His feet hooked the fence and he broke both his elbows. Got married and went on his honeymoon with both arms in casts shoulder to finger.

What about sarcasm? Oh, and there's prevarication. She used that one in the river, remember?

How about hot rodder elves in Los Angeles? That's still the Wild West. If you don't believe me, go visit Boyle Heights, Pico Rivera, or Silver Lake.

There are times when life sucks and Murphy's having a party.
