When does he bring out the fish?

... and I want to know where the Pharisees are hiding!

Imagine the ramifications of Ian being drunk, and trying to perform his current acts of good.

This is how major religions start. Reiterate.

This is how major religions start.

Trying out my sillouette-fu, I think that's Meji doing arm-wavy crowd control. "Personal cheerleader and handmaiden of the avatar of the Great Goddess Anilis" is a better life-goal than a living bratz doll or tutor to the same, I suppose. Every Jesus needs his Magdalene, Meji certainly fits the bill. And Ian's getting a two-for-one deal, he won't have to look around for an Iscariot.

And since elven rangers (I am thinking of Sarna here) are known to chase down rumors while masquerading as humans, this is bound to work out well. At the very least it will increase the chances of Santuariel being noticed.

I wonder if Ian's newfound powers also give him heightened senses that would let him see through magical disguises like that?

If little Cindy Lou Who... er, Suzie could do it, I'm sure the avatar of a goddess herself (...himself? Damn pronouns, too many of them anyway) could do so easily.

In light of this, I think it's about time that Jesus Apologize to the perfectly respectable shamans and witchdoctors he put out of business.

Hmm... If Ian sticks to healing magic-resistant half-elves (in other words, people who literally can't get healing anywhere else), do you think the life-mages in nearby towns will realize they're not actually losing any business to him?

No the problem is that he is also healing humans from nearby settlements.

Also I like the glowing eyes.

That's it. I'm packing my backpack. The question is, should I request 4 or 6 phallic tentacles, and should they all be 3 meters long, or should I make one longer for better reach?

And yeah... He's not just putting the life-mages out of business, but also the cosmetic-mages.

Glowing eyes aside, Ian musta really meant it when he said he's figured out a better method of using the goddess' power.

He's gone from a 1 shot 1 coma, to an all-day orgy of healing magic.

Rakshasa brings up a good point. Human beings being petty and all, if word of this rumor gets around, I could see some life-mages getting the local magistrates in an uproar about an insurrection brewing in a certain town.

I also wonder if Ian's magical control and power limits over the magic increase everytime he uses it - kind of like the Saiyans in Dragonball Z. If he's going through a couple hundred people a day, his power and control may be... impressive.

Oh, Ian, the world is about to turn on you, and then you on the world.

I'm just glad we'll be here to watch.

THE B-SIDE OF THIS TAPE SAYS:

Oh, Poe, why do we have to wait, even if it's only until Monday.

I'm jonesing for some more Ian action.

Good call, but I feel sorry for the ranger coming after him. My guess is yes, he will see completely through the spell, especially since Sarine mentioned that anyone with magical talent wouldn't have a problem doing so.

The fun question is, who shows up first. Sarine, or any other elf.

Seeing Leah without glasses makes me sad. If I had Ian's powers, I'd be deliberately stunting girls' vision so they'd all have to don a pair of specs. Stupid Ian and his lack of glasses fetish.

Ah . . . given that the half-elven healers in this town use magic, just like Ian does, and so do a lot of human healers in other countries, are we not over-reacting to this situation? Ian, from the viewpoint of everyone except a few half-elves, is not showing god-like powers. He is just a better doctor than what is available locally.

Of course, his ability to correct congenital defects in half-elves is making him a hero in Sanitaricanal, but humans and outsiders wouldn't be likely to understand that bit of drama even in the unlikely event that anyone bothered to mention it to them.

Overall, why would an Elven ranger give a damn if he/she found out there was a better-than-average healer off in the boonies somewhere? Most of the humans who might be in on the chain of gossip wouldn't even know what a half-elf was, let alone remember to include that fact in their conversation.

Speaking of major sources of income...

Our store has finally reopened. It cost us lots of time and money to get it working finally, so if you've been waiting all this time to place your orders... well, there's no time like the present.

Actually, the silhouette looks less like Meji doing crowd control and more like the Hitler salute.

Heil Ian?
