As it turns out, a turkey sub that I bought at the end of January and paid for with a check, an $8.04 check, a check that bounced.
3 month lull, I get a letter in the mail.

You must appear in person and bring the receipt of payment, this notice and cash or a certified check or money order payable to Bridgeway Center, Inc., in the amount of $25.00 for diversion fee plus $30.00 service fee to the Bridgeway Center, Inc., Probation Support, 151E NE Eglin Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, 32548 (850-833-7444) or at 351 North Ferdon Boulevard, Crestview, Florida, 32536 (850-689-7843), Monday thourgh Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. and 1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m., by 04/13/2007. If this date falls on a weekend or hilidat, payment will be due the next business day. It is required that proof of restitution, diversion fee and service fee be submitted on the same date.
Should you fail to call or appear by the above date, the warrant will be activated for your arrest for the above worthless check charge.
If convicted of a misdemeanor of the first degree worthless check offense, the maximum penalty of $1000.00 or one year in jail, or both; if convicted of a felony of the third degree worthless check offense, the maximum penalty is $5000.00 or five years in state prison or both.
This is the only notice you will receive before being arrested.
So, let alone this is my first notice of any sort. WTF. I'm glad that in this day and age, Publix is willing to take me to the mat over a Turkey Sub. It makes feel warm and cuddly inside.
So, first I called Publix to see how much their fee was, $25.00 apparently.
$8.04 + $25.00 + $25.00 + $30.00 = $88.04
So, I went out to the bank. Oh goodness, I guess they were out of bills that day.
