So I was in here a while ago, and having no tablet at the time I was trying to make do with filters, but I come before you now having purchased a tablet and gone back over every page. The issue has gone to press, so it's too late to make any changes, but I wanted your overall impressions of the change in quality.

I plan to submit it to Diamond-> http://www.diamondcomics.com/public/ and I'm wondering what my chances might be...

Thanks :)

Pages start here-> http://crossovercomic.com/index.php?s=&page=comic&view=first Feel free to be brutal. That's why I love you guys :)

Oh hey, it's a lot softer and the faces aren't so damned goofy looking.

Well, except for this. Pretty young for a king.

Yeah. One of the downsides to using my friends as models is that I just really don't know that many old people I'd feel comfortable asking to pose for my comic book, and even fewer who would say yes.

A vast improvement in clarity, particularly on the cover. It're really showing off the detail in your models.

I think you're heading in the right direction now, and you'll have more control over your light sources, (as you showed in your corel test on the website) so that the individual elements will be able to maintain consistent shading and solve the problem with the skkull on a href="http://crossovercomic.com/index.php?s=&page=comic&view=next&index=198">this page</a>. (as i have mentioned before.)

It's great to see you've gotten the whites back into the colour balance. It's really livened up the pages, and they look much cleaner and read a lot easier now.

As for the argument that overpainting and "tracing" aren't art, or that they're cheating, It's been happening in professional comics for years. I've seen many contemporary titles that use the technique with live actors and photographs, and that using copyright material. You're using your own models and actors, so not only is it (in my opinion) a legitemate technique, but in your case completely above board and legal.

You don't need to hear this from me, but keep doing what you're doing, keep pushing yourself, and you'll keep improving. Your current method is a great improvement of your previous methods, i can't wait to see what you come up with next to top yourself.
