i brought my laptop with me to show my friends some of the kichiku megane fandisk hilarity when we get to the coffee shop we usually hang out at after we do whatever it is we do downtown. i made sure to get the only sits in the coffee shop where you can position the computer in a way no one can peek in because i know at least one of my friends is extremely easy to embarrass and there was much yaoi to be seen. my friends were sitting across from me with a couple of guys (students doing homework or something) in the table behind them and the entrance to the bathroom behind that table so there was some traffic of people walking there all the time.
now the game has a special bonus scene section where unlikely (and often hilarious) things like katsuya x katsuya happen and every single one of them includes a sex scene with a cg. i wanted to show my friends one of these scenes where the dialogue leading up to the sex is really funny so i loaded it, put it on auto (no hands :V) mode and went to the bathroom. when i came back they were back in their sits with the computer facing the students and isle, just moments before the talking part of the scene was done. i said something along the lines of "the porn is now" loud enough to make the waitress passing next to me do a double take because i knew they knew whats coming next and much to my surprise didnt seem to mind it at all.
the next thing i know the attached image was plastered all over the screen and my friends looked absolutely mortified. one of the students sitting behind them expressed his own surprise pretty loudly and the rest is a bit of a blur because i was laughing so hard tears were coming out.
after that my friends moved to the sits i secured for us and watched another scene, the easily embarrassed friend hiding under her jacket, peeking at the screen with one of the earphones in her ear. she was so red she looked like a tomato, it was adorable.
i havent laughed that much in a long time, which im sure helped my friends feel better through the whole ordeal! :D

Fantastic! The only thing that could make that better would be if everyone in the cafe had seen. :-D

i think a lot more people took a peek than they let on, there were quite a few puzzled looks throughout the evening. also the loud student kept throwing comments at us every time he passed by but i didnt pay much attention (again - too much laughing). if my friend didnt seem like she was having fun (she even took back the earphone after it fell out - which led to more laughter on my part) i would probably pick a fight with that asshole myself.

she will probably kill me if she knew im posting this online but what the heck yes i shoved my cellphone in her face and lived to tell about it. i wish i got a picture of the redness too

OP+1

There were good times, there were bad times. There were definitely events involving foreign cities and members of the forums. ¬_¬

Hell, I still keep in contact with Kyhm and Winter.

Well... damn. I didn't even realize the corpse of this place still existed. Its a shame I missed Christmas and New Years. It would have been nice to defile your holiday memories one last time.

The forum says I last blighted you with my presence on Sun Jun 08, 2008 at 2:38 pm. Syphilitic mother of god, has it really been that long? Oh, I could wax poetic about the old days but the true grandeur of Kyhm in its glory days would require heavy use of the Black Tongue and, as we all know from experience, that causes blindness and testicular cancer with prolonged exposure. But, hell, that may count as an improvement. Lesbian stoat porn, the troll wars, initiations, the use of my genitalia as an array of orbital sky hooks to ply the heavens, nightly attempts to make each other gouge out our frontal lobes as a release from the madness. Ah, good times.

Is it truly dead? I had believed Kyhm to be the Keith Richards of internet forums. Capable of clinging to a surreal half life even after all biological functions have ceased as the body is kept in an eternal undecaying stasis due to the preservative powers of powder cocaine. Weren't you guys using the sum of all internet porn as your phylactery, ensuring the forum revives 1d10 days after being slain? You don't do yourself justice.

I'm actually pretty sure that describes the state of this place pretty well. Seems like there's about a half dozen or so hardcore posters who keep this place from becoming just another spam hole (and people like me, who, even when the population has dwindled to the point it has, still manage to lurk most of the time).

A place like this can't die as long as we keep the denial dream alive.

...So I guess Bishou and Mad are never going to finish Road Trip, then? :smith:

[BTW, won't Kyhmforums be ten years old before the end of this year? We should go on some sort of epic quest to re-unite all the major former-regulars for a tenth anniversary reunion thread.]

If by 'we' you mean 'you', then yes, we should totally go on some sort of epic quest to reunite all the major former-regulars for a tenth anniversary reunion thread. For all other definitions of 'we' I don't care. I am comfortable knowing that there are five people who post regularly and that as long as they can log in and the place isn't filled with spam they're happy. If anyone else wishes to try and make this place more alive they're welcome to try.

I also just noticed something. We need to celebrate the one year anniversary since kyhm last logged into the forums. It's now one year and five days. :toot:

We did. Hollywood loved it, but changed a few things... including the title. It's now "The Expendables".

It could be worse. We could have been "Harold and Kumar Go to Hell".

I wonder, how large are the forums, and would it be possible to get a hard copy of them. I wouldn't mind keeping this site for memory sake. I mean 20-30 years ago a lot of this will be a riot.
